New Interest Stack
Interest StacksPassion-filled shows that burn into your soul! Do you like perfoming arts? Visual arts? Music? Drama? Romance? This stack is dedicated to shows that either have a gyaru lead, main cast characters or at least as a very important supporting character. Starting from bright representatives of the archetype and ending with simply realistic stylish gyaru girls. This stack is dedicated to the so-called "Ikemen Onna" or as they are better known in the West, Prince-ish girls. That is, cool androgynous female characters who look incredibly handsome and act like fairytale princes, which makes them incredibly popular with girls. Initially, such characters appeared only in shoujo anime as one of its classic moe and yuri archetypes, but subsequently ikemen onna began to appear more and more outside of female media, often playing the role of action female MC in various all-female and not so anime. Anime for a common audience that includes representation of marginalized communities without being narrowly focused queer or quuerbaiting content. The purpose of the list is to try and neutrally compile a list of shows with a diverse cast that isn't subject to the heavy fascination with ships and other wishful thinking. Therefore, you will not see any "heavily hinted" and other typical speculation for such stocks here. This stack is dedicated to shows that are either inspired by Takarazuka or directly dedicated to it. Takarazuka is an iconic Japanese all-female theater group from the city of the same name, that is widely known for their authentic musicals, homoerotic reputation and huge influence on Japanese women's culture. In most cases, it is either about the characteristic prince-ish girls "ottokoyaku" (of a certain aesthetic, not just androgynous ikemen onna), the so-called "Takarazuka couples" (a romantic or homoerotic pair of female characters inspired by ottokoyaku and musumeyakku), and various theatrical aesthetics, but there may also be direct quotation and demonstration of the troupe's activities. This was based on a few interest stacks I saw listing anime that has fruitiger aero and fruitier metro vibes. As a member of the Aesthetics Wiki on Fandom, I didn't really think that they were fitting of the aesthetic. There's not much that do fit those aesthetics in my opinion, but there are quite a bit of anime that do fit Fruitiger Metro's kawaii older sibling, Superflat Pop! The following anime are added because they appear in the anime section of Superflat Pop's page, or are added based on my opinion! There are also anime movies, but that'll have to go into a different Interest Stack. |
