Both: - MC have dark past/chiildhood - Supernaturals in both shows have overlaps - World building is done well - MCs are pure-hearted, and sincere - Fun supernaturals characters - more supernaturals characters than humans - Fight scenes have low tension Difference: there's quite a bit of difference, but both are really good shows and fun to watch if you like to know about these supernatural beings and how they can be portrayed differently - Mononogatari MC is much more spirited than Natsume's - Plot in Mononogatari is more Shounen-ish and exciting as compared to the laid back Natsume's slice of life story plot(but pace for monogatari is on the slow side, almost like slice of  read more

Both: - are pretty to look at (art style is decent and unique) - have a pure hearted male MC who is no drama and straight forward - are occult related (supernaturals here and there) - MC, and story POV are on the side of the living humans who are also official government factions - World logic acknowledges the existent of supernaturals among the communities involved. So not like only MC have to deal with it while no one else knows his/her woes. - MCs are in the position to affect the lives of the supernaturals - Interesting characters (distinct) - Similar paced, closer to Slice of Life than that of typical shounen  read more

Both: - World building is done well - Explore a little the issue of the mythology of the Tsukumogami - The classic soundtrack that has everything to do with a supernatural anime about its folklore - There are very good fights plus some that are ok, but there are moments in them that are good and some mediocre Difference: - It has a more Slice of Life focus with a slow pace and is difficult to consume, and another one it is more of a Comedy with Ecchi with a very normal rhythm and which is easy to consume - We have 2 protagonists between 8 and 80, in Mononogatari he has  read more

Both of these series have action, supernatural creatures, romance, and (slight spoiler I guess?) a heroine that is part human and part something supernatural; seen as a god and are targeted by the supernatural creatures because of this. Ayakashi Triangle focuses on Ayakashi in general, where as Mononogatari is focused on tsukumogami/marebito. The protagonists are also prejudiced against said supernatural creatures and dislike them strongly at first, the heroines however are okay with them.

In Mission: Yozakura Family, Taiyo joins the quirky Yozakura spy family, each member equipped with unique skills and distinct personalities, which gradually helps him overcome the trauma of losing a childhood friend in a spy-related incident. His loyalty to his wife, Mutsumi, and her family fuels his growth and commitment to becoming a capable spy. Similarly, in Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari, Hyoma is sent to live with Botan and her Tsukumogami “family,” who challenge his hatred for Tsukumogami—a hatred rooted in his family’s tragic death at the hands of these spirits. Though his Saenome clan duties conflict with his growing bond with Botan’s Tsukumogami, Hyoma begins  read more

Similarities: *both are urban fantasies set in modern day *spirit hunting in both of sorts, talks about the other shore/side *objects transforming into humans, weapon-objects *found family in both, though Noragami has a core trio of characters, while Malevolent spirits has a larger cast - but households and clans, fighting over territory and protecting, cooperating and scheming is a thing in both *main girl character kinda gets mixed up in it all unwilligly and has to bear dangerous consequences for having ties to the other shore and spirts

The same setting plot where it involves people dealing with bad supernatural entity, the difference thought was one is only compose of 2 people while the other one is also compose of 2 people plus 6 supernatural beings who work for them.

The protagonist is the face of Eren and his ambitions and emotions are like his own.

- from a manga to anime adaptation - gaining of trust is worked on in both series between the girl and boy mcs - Presents a situation where the male MC has to grow and mature to become something more (and to defeat the bad guy) - 2 teenagers going against a dark force // antagonistic groups - both present a male MC that had something unfortunate happen in the past - Both are action stories with supernatural elements - both have a potential love interest as part of the main story
