New Interest Stack
Interest Stacks![]() ![]() While 2022 and 2023 both gave us an outstanding amount of new and original anime, what will 2024 bring us? Fortunately I'm here to create a list of shows and movies that I believe will define this year for new anime. I have not read the sources for anything I'm listing, meaning no manga insights, light novel spoilers, or visual novel validations. Everything listed below is based on whether the entry synopsis, poster, or title intrigues me, or whether I know of something that has made me excited for this show. ![]() ![]() This stack is dedicated to historical anime that have significant fantasy elements based on Japanese national folklore. A kind of fantasy chambara. The main criteria were a more or less realistic historical setting and significant elements of Japanese folklore (both natural and magical realism). But if you know of other shows that could be useful for this stack, then feel free to recommend them to me. ![]() ![]() Anime where the main theme is about demons and hunting demons. Demons could be either literal demons, monsters, ghosts etc. where the main character's goal is to eliminate all existences of demons and monsters. ![]() ![]() This list is my personal opinion, ![]() ![]() Shousetsuka ni Narou, “Let’s become a novelist!”, is Japan's novel publishing website where anyone can publish and read novels free of charge. These animes are the anime of Shousetsuka ni Narou origin. ![]() ![]() These are shows that I predict will have lasting, material impact on anime as an art form after they are released in the calendar year of 2025. The following list is in season and then alphabetical order. It showcases ∼ 13 tv series / season. ![]() ![]() Anime where the/a main character is always covered in bandage and/or medical eye-patch etc. I don't include bandaged characters who wear them for practicability like chest binder or martial artists/fighters. They have to cover something (bruises, scars, burns, supernatural abilities, heterochromia, etc) or just pretend to (chuunibyou or unknown reasons). ![]() ![]() This stack is dedicated to anime with the most emotionally tense and powerful drama. Often reaching so extreme vaulues, that this can remind you of the best (or worst) versions of Latin American or Turkish TV series. Excessive emotions and absolutely Hollywood twists, huge doses of melodrama, Greek tragedies or sensational topics like mental problems or crimes, pronounced angst and edge aesthetics, everything is like you love. However, whether you will watch it for the sake of a kind of uninhabited cringe comedy or completely seriously enjoy it as Over the Top dramatic stories depends completely on you. While the stack still includes frank parody show, yes. ![]() ![]() Spring 2025 is getting closer, so I decided to make this list to celebrate this new season of anime adaptations. ![]() ![]() A curated list of the hottest anime releasing in Summer 2025—get ready for new adventures, mysteries, and action ![]() ![]() Journeys both literal and metaphorical. Stories about personal growth (or lack thereof). ![]() ![]() This stack only includes non-sequel TV anime—no movies, OVAs, or continuing series here. |
