Synopsis

After obtaining the Number One headband, which proclaims him to be the best of all warriors, Afro spends most of his days in peace, though his nightmare-filled nights are not so tranquil. His life crescendos into chaos once again when Jinno and Sio, his former friends from long ago, take the headband from him, as well as the remains of his father. Challenged by Sio to don the Number Two headband again and exact revenge on them for their actions, Afro embarks on another journey as the wearer of said headband—an item for which anyone would kill him.

Afro Samurai: Resurrection follows Afro as he fights a second series of battles against all manner of foes, wading through the sea of corpses in his wake so that he may once again quench his never-ending thirst for revenge.

Afro Samurai series, as a whole, has amazing art style, incredible animation, and superb directing... also motherf*cking Samuel L. Jackson!

But besides that, you have a pretty basic, overly badass, tragic anti-hero, on a path for vengeance, and as every sequel of this genre, the second installment is even worse when it comes to story. But if you are into insane action and a lot of violence, then this is perfect for you.

Overall, Afro Samurai is a really enjoyable visual experience - if you turn your brain off.

Blah blah blah character count limit blah blah blah.

Mixed Feelings
Watching right after the TV show I was considering this the culmination of the anime but its not really that. It kind of stays true to anime movie fashion with just being more for the sake of more. The animation and fights are just as cool as the series so to watch for that is reason enough but the actual story in this is just not good. We get more revenge story but this time its even more half baked than it was in the original series. In the end nothing really changes and its just played out. Worth the watch for more Afro Samurai ...

When I watched the series I thought it was an okay series with nothing really sticking with me, but I still enjoyed myself nonetheless with it. However when I watched this movie I was puzzled with the choices they made with the film and ended up heavily disliking the movie.

The story follows Afro and he goes after Sio and Jinno his old childhood friends after they steal both his no1 headband and his father's body. So as a result Afro goes across the land to get his father's body back and his no1 headband back. Without the first half Afro wants to stay his ...
