In anime, manga, the appearance of teachers and schools is very popular. However, in this list, I would like to mention anime series where the teacher is the main character, and the teacher-student relationship is the dominant link of anime.

We're in the midst of a rakugo manga golden age, so time to shout out some rakugo anime.

Honorable mentions:

* "Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai" for its many rakugo fan storylines
* "Oishinbo" for Stan Black, an American rakugoka and foodie

This is a stack of Anime which each have a Main Cast of Only 2 Females, no more, no less, and no males will be in these Main Casts.

There are a couple of GL shows in this stack, but the majority of these shows won't be.

If you like the types of shows featured in this stack, feel free to check out this stack series: Comedic All Female Cast/CGDCT Shows, as it might contain more anime you would like.

This stack will only contain the first season of each series.

Animeby Adnash

List of animated series set in Japan during the Taishō period (1912-1926).

Animes are listed in alphabetical order. There is no requirement regarding genres or themes, aside from just the action taking place during the Taishō period, or being either heavily inspired by it or any event happening during this period of Japanese history.

Naturally, the list might be updated in the future. For more details about bigger updates, please take a look at the bottom of this Interest Stack's description ("Updates" section.)

Please be aware of the possibility of finding both historically accurate animes and shows presenting alternative history; or simply rather realistic series listed alongside ones that feature supernatural elements, albeit without getting overwhelmed with them. That's why I highly recommend reading the synopsis of a show that will catch your attention.

The list does not include sequel series. If you are interested in checking them, you might just use certain anime's page on MyAnimeList and see which series are marked as related to it.

Updates:
31th March 2024 - specifying the description of this Interest Stack even further; adding two new anime (Kaze Tachinu; Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon)

This stack lists anime that are about buddhism/shintoism or frequently reference at least one of the named religions/philosophies.

Some of the listed anime are surprisingly good and offer a insight into japanese/eastern history, traditions and mythology. Some might be unapologetic propaganda.

Anime that are based within the Taisho time period. Majority are historical with a couple involving magic/ and or fantasy elements.

The Taisho era marks further Western influences in Japan from clothing to democracy. Still, the country makes a push in China, taking both island territories and areas into the North. There aren't a lot of anime set in the relatively short Taisho-era, but military motifs are almost always present.

This stack is dedicated to historical anime that have significant fantasy elements based on Japanese national folklore. A kind of fantasy chambara. The main criteria were a more or less realistic historical setting and significant elements of Japanese folklore (both natural and magical realism). But if you know of other shows that could be useful for this stack, then feel free to recommend them to me.
