Recommendations cherry-picked from the entire Gourmet genre.

If the other kind of Slice of Life is more drama heavy, of course there are light ones. The shows will make you feel comfortable, lighthearted, and giggle at the same time. These are the fun Slice of Life shows you might actually enjoy. If there's a rich-flavored cake, of course some people can enjoy or prefer plain vanilla ones.

Anime with traditional Japanese sports, games, arts, folklore or food!

My personal recommendations for amazing "SOL" anime that have subtle/intensive feels and deep themes/ideas.

Kansai-ben, Touhoku-ben, Hokkaido-ben, ... Japan is rich with their dialects, accents and expressions. I find certain charms to these and will try to maintain this stack adding animes involving some of these dialects.
It might take me some time to gather series and regions but I will try my best.

Sick of all the plot-heavy, action-focused, mind-boggling bullshit you've recently watched? Perhaps you've finally got a break after a long week of work and exhaustion? I got ya fam, here are a few shows that aren't super psychological or plot-oriented stuff, and are best enjoyed when your brain is weary and wants to digest something light and comforting.

Just as the title says, anime about food and cooking that are worth your time. Partner to my manga list.

Obviously, not every gourmet anime is on this list- I deliberately left off ones that I just don't like. Sorry, not sorry- you can message me if you think I've made a mistake and I'll let you know why your fav is not on here.

In these animes the protagonists (as a couple or individually) somehow take care of babies or young children.

Educational Gourmet Anime that will Inspire and Instruct you in the Art of Cooking are for those anime that do not just show food, but include:-
* Background on ingredients properties
* Education on how some food products are grown / harvested
* Instructions on proper methods of preparing and/or cooking
* Usually these include recipes
* Final product is delicious food

That the viewer can then be inspired to try and cook, or look for a restaurant to eat it!

Anime that looks like a painting, sorted from A to Z. Mostly watercolor or pastel style with soft and soothing color palette. This list doesn't include Ghibli-esque style. Feel free to comment on my profile if you have some suggestions, and enjoy :)

Animes w Japanese accents. I find accents as a beautiful trait and a charm point of these animes.

1.really wholesome anime with ofc a hint of absurd or wholesome comedy.
2.perfect to watch with family.
