Both shows involve warfare against otakus, and the main characters are there to fight against those who seek to destroy the anime culture. Both shows use crazy visuals to blow things out of proportion. There are some big differences in that Magical Destroyers is more serious and battles are between foot soldiers, while in Rumble Garanndoll it's more comical and the battles are between mecha.

Very similar in tone, with mecha anime meta-humor mixed with character and political drama.

Both anime have extremely over-the-top humor, as well as a perverse resistance fighting against militant Japanese overlords.

Both animes are sci-fi series, where our protagonists got recruited by a secret organization without their conception and they are going to fight against a powerful organization filled with girls riding up mechas, also our protagonists are supposed to inspire (or fall in love) some other girls for fighting this bad powerful organization

The theme of male and female mecha pilots learning teamwork is prominent in both, albeit much more well executed in Rumbl Garanndoll than Franxx.

A young man is swept up in a multi-faction war in a divided Japan, where he pilots a robot via VR interface. Both new-age original mecha series. AMAIM is distinctly less exciting than Rumble Garanndoll, however.

Both of these anime parody classic anime and otaku culture while also being a love letter to the whole medium and culture. Animegataris focuses more on the love of anime and how fun it can be to enjoy and share it with others and dives a bit into meta territory at times while Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo plays it more straight, but still parodies and references classic mecha tropes and otaku stuff. Animegataris' cast has a bit more nuance to it, whereas most of Denchi Shoujo's characters are riffing on classic archetypes, either to poke fun at or change them up in interesting ways.
