If you like AoT, you might like 86 too. It has quite similar themes, but it's a bit different in its presentation, and it has very likable characters. Attack on Titan has been going on for years and is now finally about to reach its conclusion. The story build up over the years and mysteries slowly opening up with the main characters struggling has created a lot of hype meanwhile 86 has just started its story with season 1 and season 2 yet to come.

both have strong protagonists who aren't scared to get their hands dirty for the sake of the safety and well-being of their friends and comrades.

Politics, war drama, Morally gray characters with a very blurred line between good and bad

1. An ongoing conflict between two or more parties. 2. Has got a main protagonist having severe mental health issues with both protagonists having control over a terrifying being (Attack Titan or Coordinate/ Eva) 3. Massive apocalypse on a scale never seen before being the motive behind the main conflict

The story of Steins;Gate and Attack on Titan both contain time travel, however this one is different because in Steins;Gate the protagonist travels between the Alpha and Beta lines while going back in time. and modifying the events. In the attack of the titans it is different eras or years which are superimposed.

These anime (Code Geass, Shingeki No Kyojin, and Fate/Zero) deal with this one-question sacrifice? Does the sacrifice of a certain amount of people's lives, help in making the world a better and nicer place to live in? One thing I learned from these anime, is that if you have a goal in life you have to make plenty of sacrifices. Sometimes those very sacrifices can hurt you deeply but continue moving and marching forward to the dream you have. We should learn from our mistakes but should not despise them, as those mistakes and experiences are what make you right now. As there are mistakes,  read more

The protagonists of both (amazing) shows share some similarities, but mostly their endgame plan. I will not explain what that is, as it's a huge spoiler for both shows, and they are incredibly rewatchable.

Both are very psychological animes and are full of mind games and plot twists that will blow your mind.

There are some political problems in the series, it did make us choose which side is good or bad.

First off, you got amazing taste if you're here, you know that? But anyway, what is the similarities between the largest show in the world a show that (a) is entirely cgi and (b) doesn't have a second season? Well, let me put you on. Both have fantastic main characters. If you are here in AoT, you know of the changes Eren has gone through and without giving anything away, Phos has amazing development too Both have great side characters. Bort is like the Levi of this universe for example so you'll probably like a lot of them. Both have great mysteries. Both have dynamic action that is really  read more

I think if you like AoT you will also like Vinland Saga because you will get similar experience. The main character of each story wants revenge for the death of a family member. Both stories have lots of action and are well written and explore similar themes.

86 is similar to Shingeki no Kyojin in many ways. - In 86, there is an '86th sector' where people who aren't considered true humans like the rest of the world, are forced to fight for their lives and treated like garbage. The 86th sector is similar to the scouts, except it wasn't by their own choice. - Art styles are different, but both go for a realistic feel and has very high-quality animation as well as CGI. - The music will feel very familiar, because it is another anime in which Hiroyuki Sawano composed many of the songs. The music in 86 may not be quite as  read more

These anime have many plot twists, similar in some ways such as being seinen, also the main characters of both of these shows start off giving a shonen mc vibe but than start to gravitate towards being seinen mcs.
