New Interest Stack
Interest StacksWorldbuilding - "the process of constructing a world, originally an imaginary one, sometimes associated with a fictional universe." These kinds of shows are usually set in a fantasy and/or sci-fi world, and excel at establishing & showcasing the rules/history/economy of their fictional universe. List was created through collective data from multiple websites of people's answers as to what shows are considered to have great world building. When someone is passionate about something they can make anything interesting. Whether its some crazy dream like going to space or something you've never heard of before like playing the Koto, their contagious passion radiates off the screen and hook us in. This list of shows the different way that people persevere and follow their dreams. Since most Shounen shows has this trope such as becoming the Hokage or making it to Koshien, I'll be skipping the more superficial and generic motivations unless it had an interesting twist to it. Anime with great worldbuilding, or the development of the fantastical environment and world! None of these anime take place in what you would call 'our universe', rather taking place in an alternative universe or fantasy/ sci-fi setting with amazingly well-tailored and fitting details in technologies and architecture that makes every world unique. This stack is a collection of anime that are either set during summer or convey summer vibes (for example are set in a place next to the ocean). We've all experienced that frustrated feeling of enjoying an anime, only to find out that the rest of the show will never be fully animated or it has a horrible, rushed, incomplete, unsatisfying ending. Here is a list of anime with endings that are so fulfilling and complete that they will leave you with nothing but a heart full of contentment and/or bittersweetness. List was created through collective data from multiple websites of people's answers as to what shows are considered to have satisfying endings. I personally love Iyashikei anime. This anime genre is just heartwarming. If you are in search of an anime featuring a lively female cast that promises an entertaining watch, then this is the perfect choice for you guys. :) cute, relaxing, nostalgic, and sometimes doesnt even need a plot 1. Cast is all-girl Associated words: Light (Visually and/or Thematically), Character-centric, Dialogue-heavy, Personal, Artsy, Trippy, Existential, AND/OR Satiric Shows that feature main characters with twintails or prominent pigtails. Will be updated when I have some spare time since I have a larger list of them. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). Very few stories can craft a setting that leaves a memorable impression, in fantasy fiction creators tend to fall back on safe and familiar settings which to me is always a missed opportunity in a story. These are anime that go above and beyond to envision and breathe life into unique and inspired worlds. A significant artistic effort is put into the locations, technology, vehicles, clothing, props, and architecture of these anime and have been masterfully crafted to facilitate these stories. Just some Iyashikei(healing) anime to make your day better. Another follow-up to the magical realism list. This is some of my favorite anime that tell coming-of-age stories, but this time in settings that are totally fantastical in every way, far removed from our real world. Be it action spectacles or down-to-earth shows in fantasy settings, these are some of my favorites about growing up in a world totally full of wonderful fantasy. As always, I will be using the first season to be representative of the entire series. This is stack of predominantly non-comedic, Slice of Life anime. These anime are not entirely devoid of comedic elements, but comedy features rather sparsely and isn't a key plot-device. Some of the anime featured here uses the opportunity to deal with and provides an insight into complex subject matters, ranging from Depression to Gender-identity, in a realistic and humane way. |
