Fairy Ranmaru: Anata no Kokoro Otasuke Shimasu

In WIXOSS characters are selected to make a wish come true while in Fairy Ranmaru the characters were chosen to make their world a better place. The fights in Fairy Ranmaru and WIXOSS have a proxy fight on each side's behalf. In WIXOSS this is their LRIG card character, while in Fairy Ranmaru it's the fairy fighting on the client's behalf. Just like in WIXOSS it's possible for there to be spectators. The sides themselves cannot participate in the fight and can only provide motivation and instruction. Depending on the outcome of a fight, a side's life can be altered completely. The series also share similar apparel with WIXOSS LRIG characters looking very similar to what the fairies wear in Fairy Ranmaru when transformed.  read more 

Persona 5 and Fairy Ranmaru share that they're about group of characters making changes to the real world by changing antagonists' hearts to make the lives of the victims less awful. Before changing an antagonist's heart, they first have to fight corrupted versions of their enemy. The groups also give out a card before doing anything and their headquarters are a bar-like environment.  

TL;DR: Gay and unhinged (in the best way possible) Seriously though, they share a LOT in terms of plot structure and format. Transforming to enter another world and change people's hearts, facing serious real world issues, and being VERY queer and horny most of the time. Even the musical numbers! It's absolute camp, best enjoyed with popcorn and friends. If you relate to the queer experience and/or you want to watch hot anime men absolutely serving, check out both of these shows.  

Fairy Ranmaru works as a kind of male counterpart to Utena, where we will see warriors being taken to a parallel environment to fulfill their mission, and with surreal details 

- magical boys fighting against monsters, for justice, happiness love and peace - pretty boys, moe feeling - enemies are also another group of boys  

They both save girls from their traumas. However, Fairy Ranmaru does this in a cringey way. 

The magical girl, or magical boy in the case of Fairy Ranmaru, battles are very similar in style and they are focused on the despair aspect of having magical powers rather than the happy kind most shows of this genre generally have. 

Both are anime with a heavy emphasis on pretty boys and music, with one really catchy song each episode. Fairy Ranmaru is on the gay end of the romance spectrum while Dance with Devils is straight, but both have a very similar "feel" to each other.
