belle is about a girl who wants to escape reality through a game system, this game is similar to summer wars and the game is used all over the world. Belle is also directed by mamoru hosoda, the same director of summer wars, wolf children and bakemono no ko

If you liked Belle, you'll love Anthem of the Heart. Both main characters suffer bad blows to their self-esteem after a childhood trauma, (while Suzu just can't sing anymore without making herself sick, Jun's lost the ability to talk at all) but overcome that with the help of some good friends and the healing power of music. Sounds cheesy, I know, but it was super moving.

Both are about an anime girl who has an alter-ego in a parallel dimension. Through the alternate dimension, the protagonist is trying to save someone else with an alter-ego who is suffering in some way.

Both are movies that feature a girl who takes refuge in an alternate dimension. The main difference is that the girl in Belle is the main protagonist, while the girl in the Yo-kai Watch movie is the tragic antagonist. Both even have connections to a flying whale of some kind.

For the music lovers! An idol (Macross) and an online avatar (Belle) who sing to an audience in their respective places--outer space and a virtual space.

Both movies involve a cast of high school characters who live in Kochi prefecture. They showcase real-life places in Kochi, both in the city as well as nature such as the ocean and countryside. Belle has more of a fantasy/technology kind of vibe to it, but they both have slice of life moments with splashes of romance and comedy

"Belle" and "Bubble" take traditional fairy tales (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) and make a wild contemporary spin on both the stories and characters. However, neither movie has well-developed writing, with most of their focus being their visuals. Both movies have really beautiful fantasy environments — one virtual, and one post-apocalyptic. With both female leads being singers, the movies make use of a lot of diegetic music and excel when the animation is in sync with the songs.

Has a very similar colourful art style and strong emphasis on the power of music. Generally really beautiful art, and fair execution -- with flaws but tasteful character development sets it apart from other shows in similar field. The main characters are not perfect by a long shot but do well to try to articulate their misunderstandings.

Both are movies that tells a stories abot young girls who has some problems related to their past. During the movie it start changing to better, and of course there is a lot of singing- which actually makes those movies so similar.
