While not having a storyline similarities, I'm sure fans of Eizouken will be entertained by watching Shinkai too - as with Eizouken it's filled with with awesomely animated shots of beautifuly designed world fueled by fantasy. And with some anime girls thrown in such world, of course.

A torn apart world, and a seemingly solitary state. Both Shinkai and Makafushigi are MVs that shows a story of those who come a long way for each other in what's left of the peaceful dystopia.

Music videos with girls and cats. Both have visually pleasing art and nice plots.

The characters Nana (with pink aura) and Lili (with yellow aura) in Yakusoku (2019) reminded me of the characters 2P (dark-haired) and E2 (light blue-haired) in Shinkai. I happened to watch Shinkai first but Yakusoku predates it. Both MVs are atmospheric and also use whales as symbolism.

Shinkai and Third Heart are not the same with what they tell, however the visuals here give me the idea that the two have a great resemblance. If anything they may both feel the same or have a similar watch experience in terms of atmospheres as the two do feature two characters as well.

Venture. Natsu no Niwa and Shinkai both follow two individuals who go out of there way travelling through the vast societies the world offers to its inhabitants. Though Shinkai seems more pessimistic than Natsu no Niwa childlike optimism. Both are good music video that can be both watched in under 10 mins. With pleasant visuals accompanying it as it goes.

Loneliness, some kind of physical desolation form virtually every other life form in the visible radius. Do both MCs find their way to the wish they desire in this vast empty world? Both are good songs to listen to if nothing else. Short to add to as well.

Relevance. Mudai and Shinkai aren't the most similar thing, but they both do have this theme of someone with an importance to the other person in hand. Both are good music video with colourful visuals and animation to push forward the emotion presented within.

Desolate. Both Shinkai and Shelter follow people who are seemingly alone in some world, trying to reach out to whatever they can in such a solitary territory. Both are good music videos that have a combined time of about 10 mins.

Both featuring a relationship of two, with the start point of Shinkai being the same as that of the endpoint of Heikousen. Gives the feels on both ends. Both are really good Eve music videos to listen to if nothing else, they have good visuals too.
