Biao Ren: Blades of the Guardians

Both star a MANLY badass protagonist traveling the desert with a child or two. You have warlords vying for power in a chaotic world, and lots of brutal violence. They mostly work alone but pick up some strong allies along the way. The characters in Biao Ren are a bit more nuanced than the good guys and pure scum in HnK. 

Both center around more mature themes, adult cast and have as leading figures characters who have anti-hero and flawed natures. Very good and instigating plots revolving around the underdogs of their repective societies. 

Adult cast, samurai/mercenay figure who travels with a troupe. A Seinen with more mature feeling.
