I do this Interest Stack for those like me like samurai fights, wars and that show a little of japan history and the different periods covered in each anime, this list was also based on the animes that I watched, there are other works of this genre but I haven't seen them yet I cannot recommend them here.

Realistic or semi-realistic art styles, proper face & body proportions, nothing that looks too cartoon-ish or stereotypical overly detailed big anime eyes or moe art style
