New Interest Stack
Interest StacksSeries that are not BL but have a rich BL potential and fanbase. Includes some popular shippings and shipping potential between the two male leads. These anime and donghua feature members of a royal family. They may be rulers, royal heirs, or people who have become royalty by other means, such as marriage, divine decree, or simply taking the throne. In rare cases, an exceptional individual will actually build their own kingdom from the ground up. While some characters enjoy the wealth and privilege their position affords them, others may be trying to distance themselves from their royal responsibilities. More tragic figures include survivors of fallen kingdoms and exiled royals fighting to survive and, in some cases, reclaim what they have lost. Thrown together for personal reference; does not include shows that I cannot vet the content of due to having no experience watching, and the quality of shows listed is irrelevant. This year there has been more shoujoseis animes than usual, so i think a list would help if someone's interested, i'll say a short thoughts on the animes too. This is not include animes that has inspired by classic lit or mentions it, mainly this is on anime that adapts or loosely adapts on classic lit. (Note: I'll try and update as much as I can and add some obscure ones!) They may be not enterly evil, but still their morality is a little bit different than that of average pearson Check out part 1: https://myanimelist.net/stacks/5953 Anime which were inspired by Shakespeare's works or are an adaptation of his plays. 「Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu」was inspired by "Midsummer's Night Dream". 「Romeo x Juliet」was an adaptation of "Romeo & Julia".「Toradora」was inspired by "Taming of the Shrew". 「Zetsuen no Tempest」was inspired by "Hamlet" and "The Tempest", moreover the characters are quoting Shakespeare. 「Baraou no Soretsu」 was inspired by Henry VI part 3 and Richard III. All these anime's include very shippable characters who mostly have no other person in the anime you could possibly ship them with. This is a marketing ploy because this makes anime/ships very popular as well as being apart of the lgbtqia+ community is not openly embraced by any Asian media. A lot of these anime's has novels, manga chps, side manga, official art, and drama cds that are very suggestive or downright very gay. They have all have very suggestive scenes in the animes as well including op, ed, end credits that are very fruity. Anime for a common audience that includes representation of marginalized communities without being narrowly focused queer or quuerbaiting content. The purpose of the list is to try and neutrally compile a list of shows with a diverse cast that isn't subject to the heavy fascination with ships and other wishful thinking. Therefore, you will not see any "heavily hinted" and other typical speculation for such stocks here. Shows, OVAs and movies with Historical European fashion, setting, or both. anime w either cannon/implied cannon ace/aro characters, and some that just give me ace/aro vibes List of shojosei anime that has Latin American Spanish dub. This second part is going to cover shojosei anime that originally aired in the 00's, 10's and 20's. SPOILER WARNING, speaks for itself |
