Hello Kitty no Kaguya-hime (2001)

Hello Kitty no Kaguya-hime and Hello Kitty no Kaguya-hime (2001) are Sanrio's retelling of the folklore 'The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter' starring Hello Kitty as Princess Kaguya. The older and more fleshed out Hello Kitty no Kaguya-hime (1993) is 28 minutes long while Hello Kitty no Kaguya-hime (2001) is 15 minutes long and came with Hangyodon in The Emperor's New Clothes in Hello Kitty's Animation Theater 4a. 

Both about the folklore 'The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter'. Hello Kitty no Kaguya-hime (2001), just like its longer alternative Hello Kitty no Kaguya-hime (1993), could be a good way to introduce the folklore to younger audiences as it's shorter and stars Hello Kitty. And there's Kaguya-hime no Monogatari for older viewers.
