These anime feature witches; magic users who often possess classic traits such as pointed hats, flying brooms, and black cat familiars. Some are protagonists looking to improve their craft, have adventures, or save the world; others might be tricksters or outright villains who cause suffering and misfortune for others. Young witches might study magic by serving an apprenticeship or attending a magic school. Basically, if you want anime with witches, this is the list for you.

Animes about little witches doing magic and that kind of stuff, nothing really deep and serious, just them having fun and enjoying life.

GKIDS is an American film distributor based in New York with, according to the Los Angeles Times, a focus on "sophisticated, indie" animation. GKIDS releases critically acclaimed mostly hand-drawn, international films—such as the works of the independent Japanese anime studio Studio Ghibli—to North American audiences. GKIDS also distributes computer animated and stop-motion films in addition to hand-drawn ones, as well as American films by independent filmmakers. The name is said to be an acronym for "Guerrilla Kids International Distribution Syndicate".

Ghibli Studio movies that weren't directed by Hayao Miyazaki. The description lists the director for the movie as well as Hayao Miyazaki's position if he had one.

Many things can be said about studio Ghibli - an institution and hallmark of a name that produced movies that are both critically and casually loved and appreciated. Their distinct artwork can be easily recognized and their stories have particular whimsical romanticism that could make us perceive the world as brimming with positivity and magic, as long as we dare to look at it that way.

Most of their works are able to be appreciated from viewers of all ages and there are quite often nuances that could be acknowledged and appreciated by more detailed inspection, the lavish symbolism and meticulous crafting of their stories is something the studio's famous for. Although the magical motifs are abundant and presented in a very organic way, at the core of their tales, lies the empathetic and humane - all of them shows a colorful and poignant cast, who often tries to see the better in humanity, and is not afraid to point at it's mistakes and problems. With their actions, they protest towards the cruelty and unfairness that the world is plagued with, and seeks to find a better way in which everyone can coexist.

Max (previously known as HBO) is a subscription service known for many awesome movies and series, but anime isn't something people think of when they think of Max. However, while not many, they do have some decent anime shows/movies. Here's some of the ones I believe to be the best by MAL rating!
