There is a way to differentiate Donghua from anime
1) the names
2) the animation is more peculiar and is generally CGI
3) the language, the most obvious hehehehe

While the term "anime" is known to be an animated show produced in Japan, there is a wide range of items it may refer to. Another section it may be referring to is the most definitely overlooked part of animation, donghua, more likely known as Chinese animation.

Since it was produced in China, not Japan, it may have not gained as much attention, while it deserves no less than others. Here are a few you might want to check out!

Note that this list includes the main seasons, not side stories.

Show that were REALLY close to be queer but aren't. But we don't mind that much because the show is good and the queer undertone are gives me life.

Shows I think everyone should watch

Anime made in the last 5ish years between 2018 and 2022 that are absolute bangers but have under 100,000 MAL members who've seen it.

2018-2022

Anime with non-human main protagonists, such as demons, undead, gods, aliens, robots, beasts. For series with multiple main characters, the primary focus has to be on the non-human, or they are all non-human.

Limited to one per series because there are way too many.

not all of them are like light and some of them are a bit dark, but they all have cute boys doing cute things so its okay

This list covers any anime that utilizes vocal synths (VOCALOID, UTAU, CeVIO, Synthesizer-V, etc.) in some sort of way. This mostly focuses on direct usages of vocal synths within the shows, but some of the entries here are attached for more unusual reasons.

Note that I will not be counting song videos for this, nor am I cataloging simple references to Miku (so no Hyouka, for instance). I also may not have everything in-scope listed; these are just the ones I know about. If I'm missing anything, please let me know in a DM!!
