New Interest Stack
Interest StacksAnime that are so terrible they become comedy gold. Works where Idea Factory was involved as more than just the original creator or production committee. No claymation, stop motion, 30 second CG clips, completely abstract visuals, experimental art created by a single person, etc! This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). Was looking at some fan art one day and it came to my attention that fanart (and very good fanart) is an extremely good indicator of how important an anime is. So taking away the fanart factor from this list. Here is a list of very important anime. The criteria this time is no criteria. This is the final list in my Obscurities series. If there is any criteria, it's that I think you should watch these despite their quality, popularity, or even my rating, because you should see 'em. There's some good, some bad, and some real head-scratchers in here. It's mixed bag time in here! Horror intensived if such scenarios existed in real life or sometimes just for pure gore and violence, it can traumatize/terrify the weak minded. Looking for some of the funniest trashy and bad anime? Are you constantly digging up bad anime just to end up being bored by how bad it is, rather than laugh at how ironically fun it is? You've come to the right place! This interest stack contains mostly obscure OVAs from the 80s/90s (but there are some newer and/or more famous ones as well) that fall into the "so bad it's good" category. These anime are REALLY bad but they still can provide a good laugh with your friends while watching some of the most crappy/WTF/cringe/weird/poorly written/poorly animated/poorly drawn anime. Yes that series has a game/ is a game. As I collect anime games I want to help people find games for series they enjoy. No this is not related to mobile games, maybe I’ll do a stack for those in the future though🤔 These are tied to Console and PC systems, I won’t list specifics though but searching “[insert series] game” will help you find it. There will be multiple parts coming out! Standalone OVAs from 2000-2009. Neon Genesis Evangelion is widely considered one of the most influential anime ever made, and a multitude of series were created to follow the leader, copying from its premise, characters, aesthetics, themes, and any combination of the previous. Here's some anime that can be considered to be EVA clones. Note: Some series that, in contrast, inspired EVA are included at the end. |
