Interest StacksA selection of shows that have a child (or child-like being) as part of the main cast. A selection of 21st century anime series featuring characters who are adults. From ordinary office workers to traveling peddlers to superheroes, adult protagonists can have a variety of life experiences and many different ways of living. Young emerging adults may still be trying to find their path in life, while established older folks are more likely to have mastered the art of adulting - or at least learned enough to muddle by. Some adults become jaded over time from repeated exposure to the reality that life is often painful, depressing, and unfair. Others retain a more positive outlook by focusing on their dreams for the future or take a more pragmatic approach by putting all their efforts into improving their lives here and now. These travelers wander from place to place for various reasons. They may travel the land for their job, be on a journey due to a strong sense of wanderlust, or are adventurers on a quest of some sort. Others may be homeless, exiled, or on the run and have no place to put down roots. Basically, a list of non-isekai shows from various genres where the characters change location frequently. 动画 (Dong Hua) or 国漫 (Guo Man; gu-o-mun) refers to anime that is produced in China (correct me if I'm wrong). People often just browse 'TV' section on MAL and sadly miss out on HIDDEN GEMSSSSSSSS, which is frustrating because some of them are really good. This list provides donghua that you should give a chance to try. While the term "anime" is known to be an animated show produced in Japan, there is a wide range of items it may refer to. Another section it may be referring to is the most definitely overlooked part of animation, donghua, more likely known as Chinese animation. Avoided a bit of the really obvious ones (The Big 3 and Death Note) and some that were really similar to something already present on this list. These are anime I recommend you not miss out on in your lifetime. Anime that have a female main character that is strong. This can include: strong willed, an intellectual, physically strong, magically adept or a mix of those traits. Most of the time they are portrayed as mature and respectful. Some lesser known Chinese Anime I'm going to check out. Lesser known on MAL, some are popular on YouTube, like Perfect World has millions of views. Donghua is the term used to refer to animation produced in China, encompassing all animated works but specifically referring to Chinese animation. Donghua adapts manhua comics and is often associated with 3D CG animation, although it can also use more standard anime-style animation - IMDb. These anime are structured as a bunch of short arcs which revolve around developing various side characters, typically while the MC travels around and aids them, mostly acting as a narrative vehicle for observing the various stories. The stories are usually very emotional, though some (Gintama) are funny. Collection of all 2D Fantasy & Supernatural Donghua (only the first season entry) Anime found on Viki Rakuten. (details explain if subscription is needed:) A mix of different genres and themes to explore in the shoujo demographic. Good for beginners who arent familiar with the content and are interested in testing it out. Anime that are actually Shoujo or Josei according to the original source material but for some reason lack the proper demographic tag on MAL or anime that aren't tagged as such (because they are originals/from a game etc.) but are still targeted towards a female audience. |
