Both are romantic chinese anime set in ancient times that starts off as a cold and unloving relationship but blossoms into romance, with a unique twist in the plot.

They're both palace dramas set in Ancient China, with a lot of focus on palace politics. The Apothecary Diaries goes into more detail on the Emperor's harem specifically, whereas No Doubt In Us doesn't go into as much depth there but also includes the military aspect. Maomao is a lot like Xiao Jinyun, so if you enjoyed him and watching his plans unfold, you'll really like Maomao too! Both series also feature a lot of poisoning XD

Xiao Jinming and Shi Qingxuan have a lot in common! If you like one then you'll like the other too :) Also, both series are focused on romance- Xiao Jinyun and Xu Yu in Liang Bu Yi, and San Lang and Xie Lian in TGCF. Finally, both have a lot of queer representation in them- TGCF with the main couple, and Liang Bu Yi with... just about everyone XD

- Both are 2D Donghua (Chinese animation) - Best part of both shows is the lovable underdog character Bai Xiaochun is very similar to the 2nd prince - Both grovel and beg an elder brother/uncle in the same tone - Both are carefree and fun loving by nature - Both use their wits to overcome obstacles/fulfill duties rather than brawn

Both are historical dramas set in Ancient China. They are love stories between Empress and Emperor who don't get along at first.
