Interest StacksThese anime and donghua feature members of a royal family. They may be rulers, royal heirs, or people who have become royalty by other means, such as marriage, divine decree, or simply taking the throne. In rare cases, an exceptional individual will actually build their own kingdom from the ground up. While some characters enjoy the wealth and privilege their position affords them, others may be trying to distance themselves from their royal responsibilities. More tragic figures include survivors of fallen kingdoms and exiled royals fighting to survive and, in some cases, reclaim what they have lost. 动画 (Dong Hua) or 国漫 (Guo Man; gu-o-mun) refers to anime that is produced in China (correct me if I'm wrong). People often just browse 'TV' section on MAL and sadly miss out on HIDDEN GEMSSSSSSSS, which is frustrating because some of them are really good. This list provides donghua that you should give a chance to try. While the term "anime" is known to be an animated show produced in Japan, there is a wide range of items it may refer to. Another section it may be referring to is the most definitely overlooked part of animation, donghua, more likely known as Chinese animation. These are all Chinese animations that I’ve watched and loved, am currently watching, or am planning to watch. I hope you all find some shows you’ll like with this list. Some of these are my favorite series ever while others are just things I have an interest in. Enjoy! enjoy your binge <3 Some of my fave romance animes/donghua that I think everyone should give a try! Donghuas that have humor and get chuckles out of me. Not guaranteed they all will be deep. Some are lowbrow. Some lesser known Chinese Anime I'm going to check out. Lesser known on MAL, some are popular on YouTube, like Perfect World has millions of views. In my rather excursive anime history, I have encountered many series with gender swapping motifs. Some have a recurrent theme throughout the series, whereas others only feature gender swapping plotlines in an episode or two. Because of this, many of these series aren't often tagged or labelled as such. Therefore I've decided to compile them all in one place. To be part of that list an anime (or donghua/aeni) needs: if you like Historical Romance Anime (all about Romance between king, queen, duke, duchess, marquess, marchioness, princess, prince etc) or Historical Shoujo Anime These animes will make you fall in love... some will make you laugh, cry and wish for more. |
