Anime with protagonists that aren't heroes nor are they anti heroes. They are straight up villains who do terrible things.

Main series + OVAs:
-Higurashi no naku koro ni
-Nekogoroshi-hen (OVA)
-Higurashi Kai
-Higurashi Rei (OVA)
-Higurashi Kira (OVA)
-Higurashi Kaku (OVA/Movie/Uncanon)

Sequels:
-Higurashi Gou
-Higurashi Sotsu

Extra: This series is also a VN and Manga, apparently both of those routes are better to take than the anime but I've not read either so I can't give my input ^^;
I'd also like to mention the 2020 remake of the original (Higurashi Gou) It is argued that this isn't a word for word remake, infact a good bit of it will be hard to understand if you have not watched the original, I also hear that you're meant to have seen umineko beforehand too? So it's quite confusing.

Take everything I've said with a grain of salt, I only started watching this series this month and am just finished the main series + OVAs at the time of making this. However I am almost certain that the order, at the very least, is correct as I got this info through two long time members of the community. ^^

One of the famous classic and popular seiyuus in Japan, and one of my main favorites. They formed a unit named, "Yamato Nadeshiko", in which they produced their singles. The two young maidens are actually best friends, affiliated to each other and at the same time, they are usually together in joining an anime. Their roles are best friends too! Is it just a coincidence? This is my collection of Yui Horie and Yukari Tamura's best joint animes!

Sequels that had a considerably worse reception than the first/previous seasons.

The most common causes is continuing a story that fans considered completed or a bad/rushed adaptation.

Not including reboots/remakes/alternative versions.
Not including airing seasons nor seasons from less than 2 seasons old after airing.
Not adding sequels that had a score higher than its direct prequel, no matter if its score is lower than the first season, for example:

S1: 8.5 S2: 7.4 S3: 7.6
In this case I won't add the third season.
Not adding inter-season OVAs either but adding sequel specials meant as finale.

This is NOT based on my personal opinion although I might leave it here but it won't have any influence on the scale.
This list is MAL's score-based.
With "best" season I refer to the season with the highest score.
Difference must be more than 0.50 points unless next season of a previous one that was put here has a lower score of more than 0.1

This interest stack aims to compile all available When They Cry anime titles on MyAnimeList ordered according to the release date of each title's respective first episode and to provide a watch order for those new to the series. There are two main titles that fit this criteria: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (officially titled in English as "When They Cry") and Umineko no Naku Koro ni (officially titled in English as "Umineko: When They Cry"). Henceforth these titles will be referred to as simply Higurashi and Umineko respectively.

~~~~~AT A GLANCE~~~~~
There are two main titles: Higurashi and Umineko. In this watch guide, Higurashi will be split into two different series: The main series and the sequel series. The difference between these two series' is that the main series begins and concludes the original story as it was intended and the sequel series is simply a sequel to that story, taking place afterwards.
As for the watch order, it is strongly advised that anyone should start with Higurashi's main series. After that, they may watch Umineko and/or Higurashi's sequel series, in either order. Although one does not explicitly need to watch Higurashi at any point to watch Umineko, since Umineko frequently references Higurashi in ways that go further than simple fanservice (and since both series carry a strikingly similar appeal), I personally say that anyone interested in Umineko should first consider watching Higurashi's main series.
It is also worth noting that these titles were adapted from visual novels, and not always will people agree that the animes are even worth looking into at all. I however have seen both animes, read both mangas, and read both visual novels. My take is as follows:
In both the case of Higurashi and Umineko, the visual novels are best and the manga are great, too. Higurashi has a great anime adaptation while Umineko has a poor anime adaptation. So pick the adaptation you please, but it's best to avoid the anime adaptation of Umineko.
~~~~~WHAT YOU MUST KNOW~~~~~
Regarding Higurashi's Main Series:
-This begins and concludes the original story as it was intended.
-This is the first chronological series relative to all else.
-While I will list Rei as part of the main series, it does adapt a fandisc and is technically not necessary to watch, but it is a good idea to give it a watch before proceeding elsewhere.

Regarding Umineko:
-Umineko occurs in the same Universe as Higurashi, though it is best viewed as an independent series
-Umineko implicitly spoils Higurashi and references it multiple times so it is strongly advised to watch after Higurashi.
-You do not need to watch Higurashi to watch Umineko and neither do you need to watch Umineko to watch Higurashi.
-Umineko's anime adaptation only covers the first half of the series and thus has yet to receive a conclusion outside of other adapted media. It's visual novels and manga have been officially licensed in English and both are complete.

Regarding Higurashi's Sequel Series:
-Higurashi's sequel series begins after the main series with its own original, independent conflict.
-Despite popular misconceptions, the sequel series is indeed a sequel to the main series. You must have experienced the main series before experiencing the sequel series.
-The sequel series is not based on a visual novel or otherwise. Both the manga and anime were aired/published simultaneously.
-The sequel series is largely regarded as undesirable (a sentiment I share). You can just go ahead and skip this series altogether in the same way you might skip the new Star Wars trilogy. Alternatively, you may wish to check out the manga as it is to receive an original ending and has thus far garnered a more positive reception than its anime counterpart, though it has not concluded as of yet.

Regarding Additional Content:
-Additional content is content deemed unnecessary to watch.
-Additional content is not cannon within any non-additional content.
-Additional content is not cannon within any other additional content.

~~~~~WATCH ORDER WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CONTENT~~~~~
Higurashi's Main Series:
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei
Umineko:
-Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Higurashi's Sequel Series:
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu
~~~~~WATCH ORDER WITH ADDITIONAL CONTENT~~~~~
Higurashi's Main Series:
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Special: Nekogoroshi-hen
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai Specials
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku: Outbreak

Umineko:
-Umineko no Naku Koro ni
-Umineko no Naku Koro ni Specials

Higurashi's Sequel Series:
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu

The specifics as to each title will be explained in the comments therein, so be sure to view this stack so that they are made visible.

My PMs are open. Feedback and questions are welcomed with open, socially inept arms.

Kemono Jihen is about a detective obseased with the occult. He finds and reacuea these kids with special powers and helps them and guides them.

The duke of Death and his maid- not horror but super cute and you definitely root for the 2 of them! Title self explanatory

Wonder egg priority- SUPER weird and hard to keep up with. You cant miss any of this show. These group of girls all have friends who unalived themselves and the girls fight monsters to bring their friends back. Its kind of tragic.

Higarashi- I do how to explain this one. Rikka lives the same month (june 1982) over and over trying to save her and her friends. She has to watch her friends die gruesome death and gets killed every time. Definitely a good watch!

Goblin slayer- self explanatory. A dude that kills goblins.

Mieruko-chan - a girl who starts seeing ghosts everywhere. Yea.... EVERYWHERE

Bubble - a super cute movie. A girl made of bubbles comes to life to help this boy she saved. Very original the little mermaid.

Jujutsu kaisen- a school of kids who use cursed techniques who fight off all kinds of cursed beings. A lot of fighting scenes that are animated crazy awesome! Definitely my favorite on this list.

Sleepy princess in the demon castle- another self explained title. A princess gets abducted and is able to thwart the demon kings guards and traps. Super cute and funny.

Fire force - a group of fire fighters that deal with people who self combust. Dont wanna spoil this one. But if you like soul eater you'll like this.

Soul eater - maka and soul are meister and weapon. Soul eats... Well souls. They ton to school to become meisters and weapons to save people. I have a hard time explaining this lne but definitely worth it!

Platinum end - angels come down from heaven and save 12 or 13 people from commiting suicide. They're picked as god candidates. One of the god candidates tries to kill all the others. Super weird definitely one that is... A preferred watch.

Top 10 must-watch anime from the 2020 season. List is entirely subjective, but I am a longtime anime watcher, watch a good amount of seasonal anime, and am highly critical of the shows that I consume. Nothing ranked below my personal ranking of a 7 is included in this list.

Disclaimer: Granted this is the year the pandemic hit, I will say that there were not as many standouts compared to previous years due to delays/etc. Some of these anime would not have made this list in previous years as a result.

Celebrate your every halloween watching these animes...

These animes give spooky Halloween vibes. With vampires, werewolves, ghosts, aliens, yokais, spirits, dangerous murders and what not. The background stages or the scenario of the animes can be looking dark and gloomy. But sometimes they are not scary at all. In short the animes contain halloween setup

I will try to put only one Season of each animes to keep the list short. If you want to add or include some more animes related to halloween feel free to DM me but the animes must give halloween spooky vibes unlike Death note or Monster.

[Ps: I will keep the list updated]
