They may be rulers, royal heirs, or people who have become royalty by other means, such as marriage, divine decree, or simply taking the throne. In rare cases, an exceptional individual will actually build their own kingdom from the ground up. While some characters enjoy the wealth and privilege their position affords them, others may be trying to distance themselves from their royal responsibilities.
