Interest StacksMuch like how the west loves eastern media, the east also loves their share of western media. a compilation of anime you could convince your friends to watch, anime that doesn't even look like anime, or anime you grew up with because the concept of anime didn't exist yet. push your friends to watch (or admit they watched) anime :D The parameters for this list are as follows: Adaptations, sequels, prequels and spin-offs of western films, TV shows and literature in anime format So i wanted to add here the anime i can call "realistic,semi-realistic,not weird face or boyshaped, not moe" The criteria this time is no criteria. This is the final list in my Obscurities series. If there is any criteria, it's that I think you should watch these despite their quality, popularity, or even my rating, because you should see 'em. There's some good, some bad, and some real head-scratchers in here. It's mixed bag time in here! The OVA market dried up as straight to video releases became a thing of the past, which is unfortunate because a lot of interesting and unique anime were released in this format. The point of the list is to feature worthwhile OVAs that are more than just fanservice or shoddy extras for TV series. Sigh, due to the explicit content warning feature, I've excluded Mezzo Forte, but it would be on here otherwise. I should also probably make room for Yukikaze at some point. Realistic or semi-realistic art styles, proper face & body proportions, nothing that looks too cartoon-ish or stereotypical overly detailed big anime eyes or moe art style I've added ones that I think are easy to watch, famous enough, intersects with other media niches, or don't have an “anime vibe”. Standalone OVAs from 2000-2009. Series that were surprising to learn there's an anime adaptation for it. An anthology series is a television or film series that presents a different story and or a different set of characters. They make these switches in each episode, season, segment, or short, as determined by the creators. Yoshiaki Kawajiri is a writer and director of Japanese animation. His most notable works include Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. This list contains all those anime that have been dubbed into Latin Spanish from each available decade. |
