Part 1 - https://myanimelist.net/stacks/885 Anime that stray from the typical otaku tropes (female fanservice, overly moe girls, performative yuri, harems etc). Anime with a strong focus on non-romantic female friendships either as the main plot or between secondary characters. Anime with jazzy James Bond-esque OPs/EDs. This is a list of anime that Quentin has either watched and liked or anime that he would most likely enjoy, based on his filmography of non-linear narratives and overall taste of foreign movies, for example. Continuation of my previous list of anime series not so well known for their titles, some not necessarily underestimated, but easy to go unnoticed in the community. As much as we love the whole "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things" and I do as well, this is where we showcase these Anime TV shows, movies, etc... when the ladies are being badasses. I once made a list of Jazzy soundtracks I found in anime so I decided to put it here. Feel free to send me any suggestions. List of anime with attractive aesthetics and story for young and old. They stand out for having a western or remarkable visual aesthetic from the rest. Some I look back and realize I needed to see it in that time, but I don't feel that way anymore. Some just have very important and memorable moments that I refer back to often. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). Shows don't necessarily need to be about high stakes, fatalities, harshness or mind wrenching philosophies to make one contemplate their life and, perhaps, reinvigorate the will to live better. |
