To qualify for the list, the manga had to be at least 15 years old when the anime came out. Organized in ascending order by length of time between manga and anime. Each manga can only be accounted for once, so no remakes - those go on a separate list.

as a halloween lover as well as an anime lover, I always love horror/halloween themed anime. with October coming in less than a month, why not put out some halloween watches?

Don't have time? These are the anime for you! Anime with less than 6 episodes. Their stories are complete (you won't feel like it ended with a cliffhanger) and really enjoyable. For people who love anime but don't have too much time to watch them.
*Ayakashi includes 3 short horror stories (separate from each other). I recommend the 3rd one (episodes 9-11).
*Aoi Bungaku includes 6 short stories (separate from each other). You can watch either one and you will enjoy it.
*The Grimm Variations includes 6 short stories (separate from each other). You can't really go wrong with classic Grimm fairy tales.
*Anime classified as movies are less than 30 minutes long.
*All Itou Junji anime include smaller short horror stories (separate from each other). Most are of decent quality for a casual watch. (Also, give the World of Horror game a try, you'll be surprised)

These animes give spooky Halloween vibes. With vampires, werewolves, ghosts, aliens, yokais, spirits, dangerous murders and what not. The background stages or the scenario of the animes can be looking dark and gloomy. But sometimes they are not scary at all. In short the animes contain halloween setup

I will try to put only one Season of each animes to keep the list short. If you want to add or include some more animes related to halloween feel free to DM me but the animes must give halloween spooky vibes unlike Death note or Monster.

Yes that series has a game/ is a game. As I collect anime games I want to help people find games for series they enjoy. No this is not related to mobile games, maybe I’ll do a stack for those in the future though🤔 These are tied to Console and PC systems, I won’t list specifics though but searching “[insert series] game” will help you find it. Anime that suffer from a considerable drop in animation quality in at least one episode. This can vary from weird looking faces to changing animation technique, using cutouts to make up or making an episode with basically no animation.
