Otogi Juushi Akazukin OVA

Magical middle schoolers fighting evil forces in cosplay style. Cardcaptor Sakura and Otogi Akazukin have similar elements: art style, character dynamics, kawaii girls in costumes, anthropomorphic sidekicks, magical battles and fairytale references. Otogi Akazukin's Souta and Ringo almost have the same dynamics as Cardcaptor Sakura's Yamazaki and Chiharu. Chiharu and Ringo are kinda alike as they often nag Yamazaki and Souta, respectively. Ringo, Souta and Akazukin kinda resemble Sakura, Syaoran and Meiling's love triangle too. The other characters also have some parallels: Val and Kero, Hansel and Eriol, Shirayuki-hime and Tomoyo.
