Anime you can only find (or used to only find) on Amazon, I'm going to add anime you could technically watch on HIDIVE (because Sentai has the licenses, they get to share some series). Note that I'm not adding shows which could be considered "old" because they weren't released as amazon-only initially, so no Gamba or Takarajima. Also no 'Ishida to Asakura', you can't fool us with that 2021 date Amazon, it came out in 2013. Not adding shows which are on other streaming platforms in the West (If I were to consider them I'd add a note), so no Asia streams or programming in other regions. Of course, if I get something wrong put it in the comments, this is to keep track of anime on Amazon but don't expect this to be the most "official" list because of expected region differences. Note also that some can be found on Funimation but due to Crunchyroll's merge I'm still unsure about adding them, I mostly get the streaming info from LiveChart although I've noticed it also misses some streams like 'Unbreakable Machine Doll' or the new 'Initial D Legend' movies which are available with Prime. As a side note, Amazon owns the right to many sequels but either has the original on Prime (But I consider other streaming platforms so no 'Psycho-Pass 1') or under a paywall.

Edit 2023: Because of the many licenses gone to HIDIVE this list is trying to compile what were Amazon Originals, I'm slowly working my way to knowing exactly which series fit these criteria, such as Vinland Saga which started as an Amazon original but then went on to be in Crunchyroll and Netflix, if a series is in the two of the biggest anime streaming platform Funimation and Crunchyroll (although they're basically the same now they still work as different platforms) they're not admitted here however if on one of the two then it's fine, why? because at that point being an alternative platform doesn't cut it when a series is on two of the more popular anime streaming services.

A revenge. A vengeance. A vendetta. A retribution...
What sweet words to discribe justice...

I absolutely love to follow the journey of a shattered (wo)man with an iron will to avenge something (s)he loved, but lost.

A revenge is an old (but gold) trope, and i felt like doing a stack of it.
So here is one with Animes i personally watched, and contains a plot with a predominence of justice made by (wo)man.

Last Update : Added Shigurui.

Japan is popular to have honorable swordsmen, and they are evidently known as Samurai. Just as we’d love to explore the Japanese culture, we also tend to show more love towards Samurai anime shows.

These Samurai anime series have always been amazing at storytelling and depicting some insane action scenes. So, if you’re here looking for some of the best Samurai anime series of all time, we’ve got the perfect list waiting for you.

I love samurai anime not just because we have some cool actions (well, that’s one of the reasons), but they depict history in the most realistic way.

So, these are the Top 25 Samurai Anime that I think are really good and worth at least a single watch.

If you are likely to watch an anime specifically because it predominantly features swords, blades, katanas, scimitars, or claymores in it, then this is the list for you!

(Real swords only: i.e. no magic, virtual, or fake swords)

A continuation of my previous stack, "Anime Based on Significantly Older Manga", exclusively including remakes. The manga must have been at least 15 years old when the anime released. Organized in ascending order by length of time between manga and remake.

List is incomplete. If I am missing any big ones, let me know. Thanks to everyone who has helped me add to this list.

Just trust me and pick one which peaks your interest the most. You won't regret it.

This list is targeted to people who have little time to spend on watching anime but they already have watched the popular ones. Anime in this list have occult following but they are not well-known in the public. Hope you'll be joining these occult followings by enjoying some of the following anime.
Also, this list is a challenge of shorts so that you won't stop watching just from the first episode and be able to have a better understanding of the anime you are watching.
This list includes anime from various genres so that people, who have a particular interest in certain genres and not others, can find something to spend their time. Enjoy life and enjoy anime!
*Fingers crossed that the mods of the site don't bully me again by putting this list as unlisted again. If they do, i hope you did find something amazing to watch from this list!

The Edo period (1603-1867) is a time in Japanese history characterized by economic growth, isolationist foreign policies, and popular enjoyment of arts and culture. The period derives its name from Edo (now Tokyo), where the shogunate was officially established by Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Animes recommended by brazilian YouTubers Alexandre Esteves and Vinicius Louzada in the following video https://youtu.be/WAVS28sbUqc
The stack follows the same order of the video
In order, the genres being addressed are; Action, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Thriller, Sports, Sci-fi, Music, Historical and Romance
Alexandre’s profile on the site: https://myanimelist.net/profile/AlexandreEsteves
Just to clarify in case of doubt, the name of the stack is an homage to the channel of the same name(Imorrível) that was owned by both Alexandre and Vinicius, which no longer produces content, meanwhile, Jumentossauro, the channel in which the video that this stack is based on comes from, is solely belonging to Alexandre, with this video being a collab between the two.

My 2nd part of realist/semi-realistic art styles in anime.

Realistic or semi-realistic art styles, proper face & body proportions, nothing that looks too cartoon-ish or stereotypical overly detailed big anime eyes or moe art style

Imagine you've just watched "Harakiri", or perhaps "Yojimbo", and now you're thinking to yourself: "I wonder how Samurai Cinema would translate into anime" - Next you're scrolling the anime database, and you've searched for anime with the theme "Samurai", only to be met with entries containing people spitting fireballs, and giant robots shooting lasers.

If this is something you've experienced, then this interest stack is for you. I've scoured every entry (as of October 2024) listed under the theme "Samurai", as well as tried to find others not listed there, to fit the following more narrow definition:

"Swordfighting anime set in historical Japan with a realistic setting."

Some anachronism is okay, but futurism like mechas and RPG launchers are excluded. Trying to keep supernatural elements at a minimal. Allowed to a certain extent, but trying to avoid full on superpowers. This list contains no sequels, one entry per franchise only.

Anime might be excluded for other reasons, such as not adhering enough to the style. Also skipping a lot of <~10 minute shorts. Some (most) of the anime I haven't yet seen, so there's a possibility an anime that should've been excluded has slipped by into the list.

PS. "Lone Wolf and Cub" + "Vagabond" anime when??
