Yuna Ichihara's spring break is far from pleasant, especially after she sends off her best friend Sacchan, who is moving away. But while heading home, the timid girl brightens up when she encounters a boy who looks exactly like her first love—a prince from a shoujo manga. Subsequently, she finds herself in a peculiar situation with the mature Akari Yamamoto, a new neighbor who immediately befriends her.

Now attending the same high school together, Yuna shows interest in Akari's brother Rio—the same mysterious and handsome boy she met during spring break. Likewise, Akari is falling for Yuna's carefree childhood friend, Kazuomi Inui. However, love is not at anyone's fingertips, as the relationship between these four contrasting friends faces complications, preventing them from moving forward. To discover the truth between them, they will need to confront their own struggles and uncover secrets hidden among themselves.

So the movie s art style was very good...but the main problem is that the movie was a very rushed...it would have been more interesting and the plot would have been nicely presented if the movie wasn’t that much rushed.the intoduction of the character and their design was okay. But there is a lack in the development in their experiences of love life,I think it could be presented more nicely.overall this is not that bad...but it could have been a masterpiece if everything seemed to work properly *-*
I haven’t read the manga but I plan to ... because I think manga has much to offer me.. So this is a no read manga review of its manga adaptation..
Overall u can enjoy the art style sound and the story...and if u are a romance and shoujo lover I believe u will like it...

Mixed Feelings

This movie was an OK movie and felt kinda bad/average-ish when you compare it directly to the source material. The staff wasn't able to grasp the "doki doki shoujo vibes" to the screen and some very special, intimate moments felt way more plain that they should. Since they decided to adapt the whole manga in the spawn of a movie I knew it would be rushed and watched in hope of seeing some of my favorite scenes, but since they couldn't grasp the vibes from the manga they ended up being less than ideal. One of them still made me happy though, but just because ... it's that good of a scene.

I think it's a good movie to introduce you to the manga and make you interested in it (hopefully? But it might push you away because it's not that good?) and I think it gets a passing grade because there isn't anything BAD about it... Although I guess first-timers would be a little taken aback by the rushiness of things. And people who read the manga like me didn't get much out of it since the feeling wasn't captured either... Uh. I was going to recommend it, but I guess I'm laying WAY more towards Mixed feelings...

But honestly, if you're reading this far, don't get me wrong. It's not a bad movie, and that's why I didn't give it a bad score. It has nice characters (or maybe one GREAT character, Yuna), the animation is good and it has some nice songs. If you want a romance to watch in a lazy afternoon, that might be it. Just don't go expecting too much and if you have more time, or if it interests you, maybe you should read the manga. The only thing that I dislike from the original OOFF is Akari's POV, just because it is so inferior to Yuuna's. I used to be super hyped for chapters that would focus on Yuuna and so tired of Akari's... Thankfully the staff noticed that too and the focus and budget went to Yuuna, which was nice (a good point of the movie, honestly), but Yuuna's romance is easily a 10/10 for me and even though the scenes weren't THAT amazing in the movie, I was still happy to see them animated. So yeah, fill your romance craving heart with some Yuuna & her loved one. Check it out if you want a romance to pass the time and just don't expect too much, you might enjoy it way more that way!

I have read the manga of this anime. I was thrilled that they are adapting it into anime because the manga had a decent plot. However, I was disappointed to find out that this is a film. Things would have been much better if this was a series. They squeezed 12 volumes of manga into a less-than-2-hour film. It was mindboggling how the director decided in this direction because many things were missed and taken out. I guess with the rating it has on MAL some would read the manga after so on that part it should be a good PR. Nevertheless, as a stand-alone ... media, it doesn't work.
The plot is too fast-paced. If I hadn't finished reading the manga, I wouldn't have understood what was going on in some parts of the film. At the same time, if I hadn't read the manga, I would rate it better but I wouldn't read the manga after for there is needless complexity in the plot that a less-than-2-hour film can't handle. The manga certainly isn't one of the greatest shoujo out there but it is 10x better than this junk. I don't understand why make a half-arsed project. We end up consuming a waste of time and energy. This should've been a series rather than a film.
I guess, I should give credit to where it's due; the animation and the background music were brilliant. They did a good job of putting lipstick on a pig although fundamentally the film is still one of the worst. No one would miss anything in their lives if they didn't watch this dumpster fire.
