Anime Unleashed was an anime block that was broadcast on the American cable TV network G4. Anime Current is its Canadian counterpart. The block is notable for having a unique catalog of sci-fi anime including popular titles such as Serial Experiments Lain and rather obscure titles such as Betterman. In my opinion, this is one of the strangest but also coolest block of anime to air on American TVs.

This list will always be in alphabetical order.

If the ratings on my profile tell you nothing else it should tell you this; I am very a harsh critic. My average for animé and manga are both in the 5's and, considering how many titles I've completed, will likely always be there. If I rate something a 6 or higher I really do think it's worthwhile. So everything in this stack is something I would recommend at least trying.

This stack is for all of the animé that made me or almost made me cry. Just because a series is listed here does not mean it was depressing. Some of these are mostly happy save for that one story or scene which made me well up. All animé in this stack are animé that I have finished and given a rating of 6 or above. This stack will be updated as I find new titles. Make sure you have lots of tissues.

Worldbuilding so realistic, well-thought-out, and detailed that you could live in the anime.

Pretty much what it says on the tin. The civilizations may live in peace or have wars against each other. The trope where humans and the aliens are actually created by the same entity or the aliens being otherwise related to humans are included too, but not mentioned as that may be spoiler territory.

Criteria:
- Humanity and the aliens should be in rather tight contact with each other, the existence of the alien civilization should be known by multiple human governments or a singular one if it spans the entire human civilization
- The alien contact should have lasted for at least a couple of years with the concept of aliens being normalized

I also have another list featuring anime centering around first alien contact!

🌌 = features casual planet-hopping and aliens are a normal part of life
⚔️ = plot centers around a war/invasion
🎭 = significant amount of time is spent exploring the alien culture
🌏 = set on Earth
🦀 = the alien designs are not based on human anatomy
❔ = haven't seen so can't say anything about the plot or setting

Ocean Productions has a sister studio for cheaper dubbing efforts in Alberta, the shows they worked on are as follow!

The release dates are kinda outta wack, i tried to organize them best as a good but info on the cardfight dubs are far in between. I also excluded some series like Deltora Quest because although they dubbed the show, they didnt dub it all. I also excluded their joint productions with their main studio, Ocean, as those can be found in the the Ocean movie/ova stack.
