While the vast majority of animated works are those of fiction, there are occasionally those that provide legitimate information about the real world, be it that of science or history. This is informative fiction, colloquially known as Edutainment, since it seeks to both educate and entertain.

A typical format often involves characters from an outer frame of reference discovering the topic of interest, though others may involve direct dramatised portrayals of relevant events.

This list is an ongoing collection of shows that can be categorised as such. The only real barrier for entry here is to have the topic that is to be taught as a primary focus of the show, rather than incidental to an otherwise wholly fictional plot.

Series that do not stick to the 10-13 or 22-28 or 36-43 or 47-53 chapter rule. Not including longer anime nor OVA/ONAs nor less than 6 episodes.

These anime have what i consider personality, or soul, they have some unique aspects, memorable characters, an artstyle that adds a lot to the show, this kind of stuff.
They are not necessarily good.

Educational Anime
- (contains Anime that aren't educational for everyone or shows that are educational in a wider sense).
- excluding adaptations of western literature like Heidi, Three Musketeers etc.

Shows that have seiyuus that sing the OPs/EDs/Inserts in the anime that they are voice acting in.
The names that goes first is the seiyuu, the names in parentheses is the seiyuus' characters
This only counts full-length songs
