New Interest Stack
Interest StacksFeaturing little to no dialogue and/or characters and the experience is carried by the music and/or visual atmosphere. These shows have a distinct Middle Eastern aesthetic or take place in the region. The Middle East consists of over a dozen countries that stretch from Turkey (sometimes spelled Türkiye) to the north, Egypt and the surrounding African nations in the west, all the way to Iran (formerly known as Persia or Pars in ancient times) and Afghanistan to the east. The land of Arabia is particularly well-known, due to the famous literature, "Arabian Nights". This is an early list that I made and quite frankly it's a mess, I decided to make a more comprehensive thematic series, check them out: Art house, in relation to cinema, is a genre of films that are intended to be serious artistic works rather than merely popular entertainment but the descriptor can also be applied to anime. Furthermore, avant-garde refers to innovative, experimental, radical or unorthodox concepts and techniques. This can of course also be used in reference to anime and manga. Anime either based on, heavily influenced by or drawing key aspects from folklore. Folklore encompasses the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, people or culture passed down through the generations by word of mouth and later often recorded in written form. Some anime OVAs dating back to this time, with not many movies included. Includes regular anime series, movies, experimental shorts, and even music videos. Anything that can be considered unique in either its art style or method of animation. Probably not every entry in this list will be suited to one's taste, but as we all know, art is subjective. This list includes arthouse/avantgarde anime movies, so that's anything over 50 minutes, for example: Angel's Egg, Mindgame, Belladonna of Sadness. These are all shows under the seinen demographic! There are various different genres like action, fantasy, mystery, thriller, romance so don’t be surprised when you find a show you thought could be a Shoujo, shounen, or Josei in here. These are all shows I found interesting and so I hope for find something you like in here! (Working on explanations!) These pieces have a harmony, uniqueness or just an x-factor to their overall aesthetic presence, to include music/sound design. about Avant Garde genre, |
