Some of my fave romance animes/donghua that I think everyone should give a try!

I attempt to summarize each anime in only a few words to the best of my ability...

*This list doesn't include OVAs or second seasons

Animes that first appeared on Weekly Shonen Magazine as manga and had an adaptation for TV.

I will try to put as many anime where tomboys have been the protagonists or are very present in the story. Some series are repeated.


Having 50 as a limit is awful.

Shounen doesn't involve romance. I've seen quite a few Anime fans who use this argument to dismiss discussions of who the main protagonist in a Shounen work will end up with. The problem is, instead of being an accurate statement, the statement instead is a red flag to those of us who've seen quite a bit of Anime. We know that person isn't as familiar with the Shounen demographic (not genre) as they think they are, but the intent of this list is to help others better familiarize themselves with the genre.

Not all Shounen series have a male as their main protagonist, whether it be that they are the singular main protagonist or there be other mains including males in the series.

A list of anime with amazing soundtracks (not just OP and ED)

Good animation with real plots and with only a bit of comedy and really good mix of romance and drama. And for those who love love triangle hehe enjoy...

Get into the Olympic spirit with these sport anime! All titles on this list feature sports that appear in the Summer or Winter Olympic Games.

Major sports leagues (football, baseball, basketball, soccer) are excluded to make the list more Olympics-focused. While hockey is also a major sports league, there is only one anime so it was kept.
