Toei Animation was Japan's first major animation studio. Throughout the 1960s, they made several films inspired by American studios such as Disney. These movies tend to have animation more fluid than that of the average anime. A basic recommendation of anime classics starting from the important year 1963 when Astro Boy debuted. Only one anime per franchise allowed, and selection is partly based on watchability, so you can get right into what seems interesting. |
