New Interest Stack
Interest StacksShows based on Vocaloid originals or involving utaites/producers who are/have been active on Nico Nico Douga (extended to YouTube for newer gens). Anime you can only find (or used to only find) on Amazon, I'm going to add anime you could technically watch on HIDIVE (because Sentai has the licenses, they get to share some series). Note that I'm not adding shows which could be considered "old" because they weren't released as amazon-only initially, so no Gamba or Takarajima. Also no 'Ishida to Asakura', you can't fool us with that 2021 date Amazon, it came out in 2013. Not adding shows which are on other streaming platforms in the West (If I were to consider them I'd add a note), so no Asia streams or programming in other regions. Of course, if I get something wrong put it in the comments, this is to keep track of anime on Amazon but don't expect this to be the most "official" list because of expected region differences. Note also that some can be found on Funimation but due to Crunchyroll's merge I'm still unsure about adding them, I mostly get the streaming info from LiveChart although I've noticed it also misses some streams like 'Unbreakable Machine Doll' or the new 'Initial D Legend' movies which are available with Prime. As a side note, Amazon owns the right to many sequels but either has the original on Prime (But I consider other streaming platforms so no 'Psycho-Pass 1') or under a paywall. What I look for the most in an anime above everything else is high-quality writing. That's not to say that manga, visual novel, and light novel adaptations are written poorly; in fact, there are some that have incredible, masterfully-crafted storylines. I have simply personally found that some of the most unforgettable series for me have been novel adaptations. Deception can be scary. Is the world you live in really what you perceive? Do you believe in what you see or see what you believe? What is the truth and what is the lie? Is anyone benefiting from the lies and who is struggling from the truth? If everyone believes in a lie, does the lie become the truth? What happens if what you think is wrong has been the right one all along? Will you switch sides, or will you stay? Shows/Movies of all kinds that are either meant for or can be enjoyed by an older audience. A treasure trove of excellence covering a wide range. Story-driven thrillers, well researched historical shows, brilliant world-constructions, poetic narrations, gripping thrillers, dark comedies, complex future visions, tightly packed action, avant-garde art, solid entertainment, tear-jerking dramas to light-hearted slices of lives. Stories that are set in a dystopian society, which becomes undesirable to live in: there might be tyrannical governments (with heavy censorships and corruption), environmental disasters, overpower of technology or complete ban of it, and so on. Some of maaaany taking place in a city. But these are just some that made me "notice" the city itself more than others etc. The ones that might make you think "damn that's a nice/big city" or something In this list, I tried to collect as many shows as possible that are dedicated to the deconstruction of certain genres, plot themes or various characters. Therefore, there are both tragedies like Madoka and Eva, and parodies like KonoSuba or Kaguya. A list of thrillers and psychological plots, made for playing with your mind and drive you mad... well, not quite, but I've found these animes that are worth for giving them a go. Mystery anime that center around a series of deaths, assaults, or disappearances that are somehow connected. Possibly feature: serial killers, organized crime, supernatural elements, etc. So i wanted to add here the anime i can call "realistic,semi-realistic,not weird face or boyshaped, not moe" All these anime's include very shippable characters who mostly have no other person in the anime you could possibly ship them with. This is a marketing ploy because this makes anime/ships very popular as well as being apart of the lgbtqia+ community is not openly embraced by any Asian media. A lot of these anime's has novels, manga chps, side manga, official art, and drama cds that are very suggestive or downright very gay. They have all have very suggestive scenes in the animes as well including op, ed, end credits that are very fruity. These are the anime that have been nominated for Best Director. Please not this category didn’t exist for the first two Crunchyroll Awards. An assorted stack of anime series with some talented detectives and mind-boggling mysteries to uncover. Highly recommended for fans who love to put on a thinking cap and wrap their head around, trying to unravel secrets alongside the protagonists. |
