New Interest Stack
Interest StacksWhat I look for the most in an anime above everything else is high-quality writing. That's not to say that manga, visual novel, and light novel adaptations are written poorly; in fact, there are some that have incredible, masterfully-crafted storylines. I have simply personally found that some of the most unforgettable series for me have been novel adaptations. Kansai-ben, Touhoku-ben, Hokkaido-ben, ... Japan is rich with their dialects, accents and expressions. I find certain charms to these and will try to maintain this stack adding animes involving some of these dialects. The anime stack of mostly all-male casts which is original or adapted from mangas/novels. No romance anime here (yes there are some who fell in love but romance isn't the main plot). I won't include the sequels because the stack is limited to 50 so you gotta find them out by yourself. Pretty self explanatory. Anime that takes place in a countryside (or someplace desolate). Some of which are not necessarily what you would call a "countryside", like Harukana Receive and Zombieland saga, but it has that feel to it. An assorted stack of anime series with some talented detectives and mind-boggling mysteries to uncover. Highly recommended for fans who love to put on a thinking cap and wrap their head around, trying to unravel secrets alongside the protagonists. Romance anime that I enjoy that are not necessarily in the shoujo demographic that are set in modern times. I’ll also be trying not to add too many fantasy romances since I technically already have a stack for that. However, that stack is all shoujo so if it’s not a shoujo and it’s a fantasy romance I’ll still include it in the list. I’ll also be adding a few donghua (Chinese animation) and Aeni (Korean Animation) as well. I might add a BL or two but only if I don’t have it in my BL interest stack already. I hope you find some favorites in here! I might add a couple duplicated from other stacks that don’t have too many views though. A list to watch for fall time. Why? All the anime within evoke nostalgia. By nostalgia, I also mean Hygge (pronounced who-gey....The danish word for coziness that encourages well being). All these shows are great for evoking a sense of Hygge, visually and auditorially. These are anime series adapted from light novel series (and manga series) currently licensed for English translation by J-Novel Club, sorted in order of MAL user score. Only the first anime series of each license has been added here. Since JNC constantly brings in new licenses, some anime may not have been added yet. a list of all the ships that are not canon but SHOULD BE!! usually the shippers of these anime couples are not delusional :) Part 1 "a strange boy meets a strange girl and they "normal" life is change/ go on an adventure together" trope This stack is for anime about characters who investigate crimes or mysteries as a hobby, without being in any way connected with the police, professional detective agencies or intelligence agencies. In general, about talented, often even brilliant, but still amateur detectives (from the point of view of professional activity, not abilities). |
