Ingress the Animation

There's always something beyond what meets the eye. While Psycho-Pass had its enigma of the Sibyl System, Ingress is meanwhile this world of Exotic Matter one can glimpse with the right technology. Actions of persons aware and unaware of the system's true nature are quite different in how they shift their motivations and who they will ally with. It's also another adult cast that focuses on more seriousness in the wake of espionage.  

Both are cerebral anime that explore ideas regarding the human mind, collective consciousness, and our existence as a system. 

-both shows are thrillers and mystery -contain some kind of device that is used for controlling and are harmful -leading to a dystopia -include police and detectives -both are ONA  

Both have very simple repetitive plot: characters go somewhere, get attacked, then go somewhere else. Plots of the both titles feels like they would be more suitable for action game (shooter for Ingress and see-battle game for High School Fleet) than for anime. Also 3DCG is heavily used in both shows: Ingress is full 3DCG series, while High School Fleet relies on it to show ships and sea battles. 

Both shows have a well-developed sci-fi atmosphere. In both, the cell phone role is quite important to scripts. However, Ingress goes further to superpower side, while Higashi remains on physics edge. This shows are about saving the world, in their own way.
