Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu

Very similar in the fact that both are Isekai involving a hard core gamer being transported as the main character. Both MC's are also transported into a villainous role instead of the hero part with OP powers none the less making for a great story. 

Besides the standard isekai flare with RPG vibes, what really compares the shows are the main characters in that they are able to act in the world according to the in-game personas they created for themselves. Both characters have inner monologues with how they view the world, or how they are supposed to be acting as the Demon Lord/Overlord and create moments of comedy to break the tension (what little there is to break anyway in How not to Summon a Demon Lord). Both are definitely a fun ride, but have different offerings for the audience.  

-Both are isekai fantasy series about protagonists transported to a game world, where they were previously the most powerful player feared by many, granting them tremendous power from the get-go -Both feature a love triange of the protagonist and two other females who playfully bash heads -Both see the main character destroying evil groups despite them claiming to be evil themselves 

Many parallels to Overlord, overpowered MC, wakes up in the game and has to live in the game now, and 2 female characters like him/fight over him. in "how to summon a demon lord" is Shera and Rem, in Overlord is Albedo and Shalltear. Enjoyable to watch how stupidly powerful Diablo is in the same way it feels enjoyable to watch how overpowered Ains is from Overlord, another similarity is both MCS "act tough" in character while feeling embarrassed at the pretty ladies on the inside and they are trying not to show it. Its kind of Overlord but slightly more silly and with big boobs. Having said despite there being mroe ecchi there are still enjoyable emotional moments and fantasy atmosphere whether you like the ecchi or not. Two very different kinds of Lords enter a new world and completely out-level absolutely everyone. In short, "Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu" is a shitty version of "Overlord" + "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!".

Imagine Overlord with echiness of Highscool DxD and more comedy. Welp now you get How not to summon demon lord. To compare it, its similar case to how Re:Zero & Konosuba feels. 2 sides of 1 coin. 

From what i have seen so far this Show seems to be just overlord without the interesting characters/great worldbuilding and a lot of ecchi scenes instead. So if you like the general concept of an isekai mc who pretends to be some almighty overlord/demon lord overlord them you should enjoy overlord. 

This is the closest anime similar to Overlord that you can find for now. Similarities: - MCs of both anime are very powerful (OP although Iseaki Maou's MC Diablo is considered significantly weaker than Ainz and he has to rest to recover his mana after fights) and have a harem full of shawties. - MCs of both anime are trapped in a game (isekai) and don't want to get out. - In both anime, we listen to the inner voice of the main characters and there are lots of funny interactive scenes with the girls in the harem. The differences are: - In Overlord, Ainz has a game trait that limits his emotions, so he can be cruel and harsh, but in Isekai Maou, the main character takes a more lighthearted approach, forgiving almost all enemies (so this is the main difference, which can be a bit annoying). - In Overlord, the girls in the harem and Nazarick are the world's leading power, whereas the girls in Diablo's harem are powerless. - While Ainz has a policy of kingdom expansion, Diablo has a policy of travel. - While Overlord has a brutal and dark theme, Isekai Maou is a very light hearted anime.  read more 

The MC is are also the same. The overall over feel is the same as well. Though the feel can be more comedic.

Dissimilarities: -The MC in one anime was already a demon when he reincarnated into another world. While in the other one, the MC started as a human before being a demon. -The MC in one anime only reincarnated by choice to the future after getting suffering from boredom when he defeated the gods, while in the other one the MC got transported by chance to an alternate world. - The MC's mission to his new world was to reestablish himself as a conqueror that came back, while the MC in another anime mission's was to defeat another Demon King in that alternate world.  read more

if you like anime with overpowered MC's, who got trasferred to another world and dominate the ranks, your good with this one. only difference between those 2 is the Isekai Maou to Shoukan is a harem anime 

Having the same op "Demon lord" concept. Fine magic and fantasy genre, one of the show has more comedy so its not that similar but the same concept. 

Both are isekai anime featuring a guy who gets pulled into a world and ends up with two slave girls (Naofumi by necessity, Diablo by accident). In both cases, the girls are a demi-human (Raphtalia/Rem) and a blonde girl who isn't particularly bright (Filo/Shera). Additionally, much like the Three Heroes, Diablo has a tendency to approach things similar to a game he's played, though in his case, this works just as much for him as it does against him, since he's actually in the game he's played rather than a world very similar to it. Emile is also comparable to Motoyasu, though he's also a lot nicer and more willing to listen to reason- essentially, he's the kind, noble, woman-loving knight that Motoyasu THINKS he is. Basically, "Shield Hero" can be read as a darker, more serious and complex version of "How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord". read more 

The setting in both series is similar: a male protagonist gets himself summoned to a fantasy/game world and gets "a bad name" in there. Both protagonists have their struggle to survive when some people show some bad attitude towards them. However both find companions to themselves and so the adventures starts. In both series the male protagonist has pretty female companions but in "Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu" their relationship is something worth to see!  

- Main protag sent to another world - Initially misunderstood - 2 girls to follow around with MC - Game-like mechanics (RPG fantasy) - Slaves as an early driving factor (less mentioned later) One standing difference is that Diablo is very strong from the beginning while Naofumi starts off with nothing, to get stronger later throughout the series. Different personalities as well. 

Still better than nothing. 

It's just a better version of how not to summon a demon lord 

Isekai's which center around an MC that although outward appearance resembles a dangerous looking man, on the inside they are very caring for others. Both cases as well the MC has to put on an 'act' to keep up outwardly appearances  

both are isekai anime with the MCs being summoned or otherwise magically transported to their new world both anime have gaming elements with the MCs being transformed into their MMORPG characters although Demon lord retry more so than How not to summon a demon lord but their player stats and abilities have transferred over to the new world both MC are demon lords one a true demon lord and the other a demon race that a self proclaimed demon lord with the skills, equipment and levels to back up the claim both anime are harems with both human and demi-human female suitors it should be noted that Demon Lord retry has a few young female member that are more like daughters to the MC Difference How not to summon a demon lord the MC as social anxiety so he uses his character persona to deal with being thrown into this new world and force out of his neet life in Demon lord retry the MC uses his game persona as a means to an end another difference is how the MC live in the new world in Demon lord retry the MC quickly "befriends" powerful people in the new world and has easy ways to make money but in How not to summon a demon lord the MC live as a more regular adventurer and money tight  read more 

Both have that isekai themed anime where the MC was transported into another world as a all powerful demon lord, that doesn't act like one.  

The mc gets trapped into a world as an OP Demon Lord which does not fit their irl character, and meets a girl/girls with a problem and helps them out.  

They Both have the premise of a "Demon Lord" being summoned to another world. On one hand, In Isekai Maou, the Demon Lord Diablo Fights progressively stronger foes all while building a cliche fantasy Harem whereas in Maou-sama the Demon Lord "Maou-sama" builds a nice spa resort along with his less cliche fantasy Harem. Either way, recommend watching both these anime. they are a great watching experience if you love Isekai anime like I do. 

Can't get enough of ecchi isekai? "Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu" is a shittier version of "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!" + "Overlord" : A demon lord with a harem! 

Both animes focus on a shut-in gamer boy thrown into a new world full of girls. These stories have a strong comedy element with serious themes underneath. 

Same kind of jokes, and the main characters are also similar. Personally, I liked Diablo better as a protagonist than I liked Kazuma. 

Both isekai's revolve around the OP main character and his harem-esq cast. With both shows, the plot progresses by focusing on the MC trying to help with the girl's individual issues

Both have OP MC Harem is perfectly balanced Comedy is equal and to be expected Adventures and storyline are similar and enjoyable 

I just like overpowered characters that show little of his power and even that little is better that anything else. Leads me to think that the mc ability power is infinite and i love that. Well kenja no mago is a lot like it, and if you are into this type of animes, this along isekai maou to shoukan and one punch are the 3 grails of strength in anime you must watch. 

isekai with overpower character that have trouble as one does understand just how overpowered he is and the other do to social anxiety. both go up against powerful foes in an otherwise light heated anime Demon lord MC his a neet that get summoned to a new world in the body with the skill, abilities and strengths of his MMORPG character. MC lives as an average adventurer and money is tight and is the dark of two anime with incest, rape and torture playing minor part of anime that should be noted. this is a harem anime with some ecchi Wiseman MC is reincarnated as a baby and raise by a legendary hero and trained by him and two others in magic, enchanting and swordsmanship this with the limited memories and mind set from his old world allow Mc to become overpower and he fall for one girl at start  read more 

Both male MCs get transported to the game they played in their character's body. Also, both MCs are pretty knowledgable about the game and its mechanics. Now they try to adapt to their circumstances. 

Both anime have a main character who was really good in a game and somehow was teleported into the said game. Both tackle the idea of adapting to this new environment that they discovered themselves in. 

If you like anime with cute girls, good battles and a bit of comedy, I recommend watching this anime (part 1) 

When i see how Arc lowkey trying to hide his identity, its reminds me of how Diablo from Isekai Maou do the same. The way they talk to the people around also kinda same, with a far-fetched deep-voice tone xd. Both also share the same past job before getting isekai'd: gamer, and they both also already op from the beginning. A pet, boing-boing, and loli nekomimi also kinda be the part of why this two feels right to lowkeyly similar. Recommend those two as a chill watch or just an urge releaser watch xd...  

"Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu" is similar to this anime in some ways, instead of a deamon lord the main character is the devil of another world/dimension. The main character is also pretty strong and turns out to be a better person than to expect from the devil. 

Overpowered protagonist protagonist in another world surrounded by his harem, yeap, pretty much describes both of these. Isekai wa smartphone to tomo ni is a bit more innocent in that respect, far less ecchi/fanservice. 

You came here for the fanservice and the battles, the studios spent 80% of the money animating the fanservice scenes, but the rest is okay I guess, one of them is an isekai. All relevant information about both animes has been displayed
