similarities: - main characters look alike (appearance-wise): a pink haired girl and a dark blue haired boy wearing glasses - both anime depict love with otaku characters - they're both a light romantic comedy - The female MC is outspoken and an extrovert while the male MC is quiet and an introvert differences: - 3d Kanojo is set in high school (it's a shoujo) and Wotaku ni Koi is set in a workplace (it's a josei) - in 3d Kanojo only the boy is an otaku but in Wotaku ni Koi all the main characters are otakus - in Wotaku ni Koi there are 2 couples instead of just one - 3d Kanojo deals  read more

for some reason, I kinda feel the same taste between them troubled Male MC, strong female Lead

Well, the main characters are the biggest similarity: both are quite nerdy therefore their love-life is rather troublesome. Both interpret the "nerdiness" differently though, so that's fortunate.

Both 3D Kanojo as well as Golden Time are unique to the romance genre. Neither beats around the bush when it comes to developing the relationship between the MCs. Most importantly, both series boast of audacious DEREDEREs as their heroines (Igarashi Iroha and Kaga Kouko) who are completely dedicated towards the person whom they are in love with.

As for ´´Real girl´´, I´ve seen only one episode and I strongly dislike it. Both anime have a similar start, where the ´´known, popular´´ person kisses and somehow helps the other protagonist, which has trouble with social life and then they start dating and develop feelings for each other. So called ´´quick romance´´ Not realistic or too realistic characters...

Both have the same character plot , where it has a guy whom is seemly a loer in life and prefers to do a lot of otaku stuffs and a cool girl who would come to guy's life and changes it for good.....the difference however, while the girl in 3D was more like as someone who has a rap as a whore, the girl in Jaku is more like a mentor to the loser guy.

Both involve a socially awkward boy and an outgoing, popular girl who become romantically entwined, breaking social norms commonly associated with high school cliques. These anime are quite similar; however, they differ in the fact that the gender and role in the social hierarchy of the otaku character are swapped.

The same plot that involves plain guy with bitchy looking girl kind of relationship. Where they're complete opposites.

Both of these series show a socially inept person beginning a new hidden life and relationship with a very popular, very well liked person. They then go on their adventure together, sharing what little time they have together in order to experience their youth to the fullest, before time comes.

-main characters in both animes have similarities in some aspects -both have same genres in Romance and Drama and have a complete story and ending .Their story is finished and you don't need to read the rest of the story from their manga. -although Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is great from the beginning ,you need give a time to 3D Kanojo to see improvement in the story and you must watch it's 2 seasons completely. the anime (3D kanojo) gets better and better as the series goes along and that's why the series jump score from 6.8 (in season 1) to 7.8 (in season  read more

Relationship with socially awkward people
report Recommended by Pumpkinyaaan
Both of these series feature outsider protagonists coming out of their shells through the development of a romance with a more outgoing significant other, with 3D Kanojo: Real Girl showing an introvert male paired with a more extroverted girl. Whereas Kimi Ni Todoke was an inversion of that formula featuring an introverted girl with a more extroverted boy. Both shows address social pressures and anxieties in regard to high school/developing young love with charming characters and compelling melodrama that immerses the viewers in their ongoing development.

Both anime seem to revolve around a romance between man who's an otaku/gamer who's mostly lonely and a girl who's popular and fashionable.

Both are romance comedy anime with not so similar plot. But the way the main characters relations with the girl the heartwarming moments are exactly similar It doesnt start directly with too much romance but the pace is amazing the way the relationships are built up are great
report Recommended by Shloskye
This anime is so similar because both girls were in love with the boys first, with non popular but nice guys <3 and they are both otaku in their way~

Similar story where both fmc is seen as promiscuous, and is wholesome

Both series deal with the theme of memory-loss-of-loved-person. I would argue, however, that the ReLIFE is definitely the superior story. To be quite honest, 3D Kanojo was touching, but definitely not as memorable as ReLIFE. I always keep coming back for ReLIFE's sweet, hilarious and heartbreaking moments.

I was reading the recommendations and noticed that nobody has mentioned this anime, so I decided to mention it. All the opinions given here are my personal opinions. Both of anime are romantic and based on highschool environment. This show is more focused on comedy rather than romance, but the romantic scenes in the anime are really good. If you are looking for a romantic-comedy anime series, then I would highly recommend this series. And most of all this series is quite enjoying.

Underrated but perfect waifu with wholesome plot. Even though the best part starts halfway after season 2.

Both are high school romance anime in which one of the leads is a shut-in who hates "normies" and has little to no social life, while the other is more well adjusted. The notable difference is that in 3D GF the guy is the shut-in, while in Netoge no Yome it's the girl. Netoge no Yome also has much more fanservice.

what does it take to date someone with different priorities? Both series may not be typical romance shows but show the struggles and fun goings of women trying to date otaku guy

I think these are some of the best Romance anime you can find, 3D Kanojo is very focused on romance, and has a great development of the characters through the episodes. Toradora also has a great development of the characters, romance is a main focus and it's well made. Toradora has more comedy than 3D Kanojo. In my opinion, both are amazing.

If you like Momo from domestic girlfriend then 3D Kanjo is about the MC who reminds me of momo alot

Both have that the same romance between a popular hot person and geeky perosn, except in 3D it's more like a hot girl to geeky guy , while in Midara na Ao is a geeky girl to hot guy.

-Pessimistic man about love because he not confident -Beautiful girl -The woman always supports the man even though he is always pessimistic about his love -Romance ,slice of life

Both have that the same vibe where it involves a black sheep getting into a relationship with a normal plane Jane or John kind of situation.
report Recommended by Whoahoho
As this anime both have differences they had similarities such as romance the plot twist.

In both main character is a nerd and the nice girl want to be with him.

MC is a virgin and has given up on getting a girlfriend, but destiny has other plans for him.

Both are slower-paced, more grounded shoujo anime with a lot of wholesome moments.

- Rumors/misconceptions about the romantic interest - Characters frequently have issues/ insecurities
report Recommended by lotus-samurai_
Both have that sort of laid back comedy vibe, in a school setting. Although the MC's are a bit different, they are a bit similar as well. Good watches.
report Recommended by RefiningHeaven
both have a romantic story of youth, playing male characters are made to fall in love with heroine beauty, other similarities are about their difficult relationship to guess.
report Recommended by Syureria
Both of them are an unpopular guy and a popular girl. The guys are both not really convinced of themselves and have a gloomy mood. In addition, it is about teenage love.
