New Interest Stack

Interest Stacks

Comedy series that don't take themselves seriously and/or have plenty of absurd, whimsical humor. Only anime that I have seen.

Title explains itself.I hate romance.I said comedy but sometimes it can get serious like in some Gintama arcs but other than that they are very hilarous imo. Also if you don't like ecchi just search a bit on the net.I think you can find your answers there.

This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious).

This stack is a work in progress.

My personal recommendations for amazing "SOL" anime that have subtle/intensive feels and deep themes/ideas.

Being purely evil or purely good is a misconception. You never know, but there are times someone has to sacrifice their good to become the villain. We always have some good and bad in us. So bad guys can have a conscience too.

Updated up to Spring 2022.

Sick of all the plot-heavy, action-focused, mind-boggling bullshit you've recently watched? Perhaps you've finally got a break after a long week of work and exhaustion? I got ya fam, here are a few shows that aren't super psychological or plot-oriented stuff, and are best enjoyed when your brain is weary and wants to digest something light and comforting.

Anime with men who have all of the following traits:

1. Is a either a biological father, adoptive father, an unofficial father figure in a younger character's life (eg. a mentor), or simply has DILF Energy ™ (in which case he must be old enough to be a dad and older than other main characters)
2. Is attractive. You know what the F in DILF means.

And some of the following traits:

1. Tries to be a dad but is a disaster and/or inexperienced. Alternatively, he doesn't try at all and is just horrible.
2. Is emotionally constipated.
3. Is very good at his career and is well respected or even feared in his profession.
4. Puts his career before his children.
5. Looks disheveled / scruffy / tired / dead inside all the time.
6. Indulges in self destructive behavior (smoking, endangering his life, gambling, etc).
7. Has a tragic backstory.
8. Dies during the anime or before it even starts. Automatic tragedy points.

All entries name the relevant character(s) in question. Entries are ranked by how central the character's fatherhood is to their story. Descriptions may contain SPOILERS.

Peak comedy anime that you can call goofy, absurd, extreme wackiness, randomly generated…

It's funny cuz it's unexpected… The list itself is random…

Yes, there is something of a MAL equivalent in Japan.

Anikore summary:
"あにこれβはおすすめアニメ動画を成分タグ・ランキング・レビュー感想や放送時期でさがせるアニメ評価サイト。参加するとアニメ動画をコレクションできるアニメ棚がもらえるぞ。あにこれβで今すぐアニメを棚で管理!おすすめアニメ動画をみんなで教えあおう!"
(More: https://www.anikore.jp/what/)

There's a lot I'd love to know about the site (and share with you) but I cannot understand everything on there and the site doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page which is wild.

Anyway, here is Anikore's top 50 anime based on score ranking. If you would like to see a stack for 50-100, do ask.

-----
Notes:
- All top 50 have very high scores (like all of them are 9X.X/100), whether they are as good as the score indicates is another story.
- This stack is in the same order as Anikore's order.
- "Hyouka" is in joint 49th place with "Sword Art Online" and "K-On" but landed on page 3.

Just some Iyashikei(healing) anime to make your day better.
This will be the ultimate list. I'll add more by time to time.
I'll add only one season of each anime.

The shows I picked have, in various ways, changed and shaped the person I am. Some I look back and realize I needed to see it in that time, but I don't feel that way anymore. Some just have very important and memorable moments that I refer back to often.

Interest stack for those who grew up on the internet, in particular to ways the internet has changed them.

This inhumanly derivative, formulaic, escapist, consumerist and incestuous genre is one of my guilty pleasures, and in my journey through it I have found some good stuff. Here are shows which either execute the classic isekai tropes well and simply have quality, or shows that may not be the best, but which at least have an interesting execution of the isekai concept that subverts expectations or at least isn't so derivative, generic or mediocre as others.

Includes inverse isekai shows (fantasy world character going to Earth) and anime that almost nobody counts as isekai, as they don't fit into the fantasy RPG setting, but technically are isekai, in the literal sense of the term.

Only one per franchise.
