They're both about a small group of friends in high school and their crushes :') The art style is also similar.

Both shows are serious, melancholy, straight-forward romance stories with no fan service and characters who act like real kids. 10 Centimeters is a little more dramatic and a little less focused on the small details of life, but is generally in the same vein.

If you are up for a cute anime where both guy and the girl have feelings for each other but are not realizing it at first or too afraid to say it, give both of these shows a try. Itsudatte is shorter and you don't need to have seen previous movies before that. Kimi ni todoke is a longer series. Even characters have similarities, where main heroine is kind of timid, yet very nice in personality and both are good at teaching other people whilst the main guy is popular but still has eyes only for the main girl. Also both are situated in high school environment  read more

This 2 animes, have the same main theme. The distance, but the two of them take the distance from different perspectives, the first one with big amounts of distance, and the other one with a little amount of distance, but who manages to have the same feel of distance.

Same characters but its focused on the other pair.

They both have beautiful love stories. It's simple, clean and well-executed. Of course, the graphics and general Kimi No Na Wa would be more detailed and well-rounded as there is an investment budget difference and one's a movie while the other is a short anime that only consists of 6 episodes. Considering these differences, it is very worthwhile sweet, romance anime.

Its similar in the way that it has the high school setting and romance. The romance between all the characters in the show are heart warming but the main protagonist and her partner's relationship is slow burning and has great development!

- both give off a similar vibe >> kinda has an airy feel - really cute and lighthearted >> super cute and sweet - no drama what-so-ever - similar premise >> popular guy and shy/quiet girl form an unlikely relationship

Both are centerd around a couple in high school. Both couples have this unspoken understanding and distance between them, so you end up rooting for them the entire time. Also, both males have a tragic background. Itsudatte Bokura no Koi wa 10 cm Datta is shorter and a nice watch when you want to see a cute little romance. Also, Ao Hadu Ride left me a bit frustrated; it was not this way with Itsudatte.

Similarities: Both shows include very shy couples who are scared to do anything that couples do which gives the people watching a very sweet experience High school setting High school romance Experience of first love Go through challenges but ends up with a happy ending

Rather than the couple having a 10cm difference, the love interests in Akatsuki no Yona (Hak and Yona) have a whopping 31cm difference, and it shows in the slower progression of their relationship. If you're a sucker for shoujo like I am, and want to see a story set with characters about the same age in a completely different time and place, definitely watch Akatsuki no Yona.

Both traditional, shoujo, school life romance anime. Similar vibes, anime warm friend groups, main character and crush works hard to excel in their goals together

Each series focuses on different couples and how their love story and confessions play out. Itsudatte Bokura no Koi wa 10 cm Datta is more focused on one main couple from the original movie, but this couple is extremely similar to the main couple from Konbini Kareshi. They both take place in a high school setting and a very similar basic cast of characters. If you enjoyed one I would recommend the other for a similar story and overall feeling.

In both shows, the relationship between the main couple is quite simple but serious in a sense that each individual has his/her own personal issues that they had to resolve first before they became true to their feelings for each other. In both anime, you will surely watch all the episodes because the most awaited part (in every romance anime) happens on the last episode.

Both are set in High School Both are romance/Slice of Life Both have a protagonist who is into filming

both are about high school students and their love stories. The two animes are about first love, with several interlaced love stories. also, their genres are similar and both have a romance with a bit of comedy. one more similarity is that the two animes are about shooting a movie for a film club. in my opinion, because Kimikiss has 24 episodes, its story and characters develop better than the Itsudatte Bokura no Koi wa 10 cm Datta.

The art style and characters are alike, both are quite short. Both are emotional with a touch of comedy and slice of life.
