Persona 5 the Animation

P5 and CG deal with the theme of the rebellion in a supernatural high school setting with the MCs transforming their lives from students who suffer boredom to a rebellious leader set out to reform society for the greater good. Both deal with the morality and justification of the individuals actions as the stories progresses within the white, black, and gray area to compel the story. Not to mention that Jun Fukuyama voices both Lelouch and Ren making them have whats in common and their looks making both shows parallel to each other. 

P5 like Durarara is a supernatural high school themed story that deals with a high school teenager whose life would change forever from a regular student who would later involve with conflicts and supernatural aspects that go beyond a scale wilder than their imagination could handle. The Seiyuu cast in both shows are superb and their music is composed by the titans of their industries making it another reason to watch. 

P5 and Baccano! have a themes that pertain to Arsene and the Gentleman Thief, jazzy soundtrack, stylish art, and revolves around various characters who are important to semi important. 

Both shows deal with a knife wielding masked MC who leads a double life is guided by supernatural companions and a talking cat in a gothic and murder setting filled with mysteries that needed to be uncovered while opposed by the law enforcement and a female prosecutor. 

P5 and SG have teenagers who lead normal lives but later involve something dangerous and powerful that they will have to put every effort despite the hardships they have to go through. Ryuji Sakamoto and Rintaro Okabe have the same Seiyuu and I cannot help but compare some of their aspects. 

Kiritsugu and the Phantom Thieves want to change the world through their powers (Servants in F/Z and Personas in P5) while opposed by their rivals (Kirei and Akechi/Sae/Law Enforcement) in a dark supernatural setting with actions that deal with certain and questionable morals and what is just and not just. 

(alright for the record if i compare the Persona 5 animation i also at the same time mean to compare the game but video games ain't in the myanimelist so this will have to do) Persona 5 and Naruto have little similarity in albeit certain details...the Joker and Naruto each start out being ostracized and gossiped against...Joker with a false criminal record /Naruto with the 9 tails...both of them set out to make a difference and strive to become heroes...both of them make a point to reform their enemies ...also Joker starts out with a squad similar to the squad Naruto starts out with the comrades...Ryuji like Sasuke is an angry guy who is the protagonist's best friend..Ann like Sakura is the girly preppy of the team the first female team member in the group Ann is nice to Joker but Sakura is mean to Naruto but never the less in a team of 3 (Team 7 and the Joker, Ryuji, Ann trio) they bear some similarity ..also Joker like Sasuke is dark haired and is brooding and cool headed while Ryuji like Naruto is blonde and rowdy and brash and kind of a knuckle head  read more 

Both anime are from CloverWorks and the MC from both anime are also very similar. Ren and Ai are doing this "rehabilitation" things to treat themselves. They also teamed up with their friends to fight "monster" in another world that was based on human's emotion and psychology.  

The cast of P5 and Psycho Pass enforces their ideology through certain systems (Personas/Metaverse in P5 & Sibyl System in Psycho Pass) to purifying society through scum cleansing. The MCs and the female law enforcers in both shows have similar roles and relationship that makes both shows no different and holds the key to the story. 

P5 like GC has a teenager whose life was changed forever by a certain power and is has guidance of a strange individual and has a group that rebels against a corrupted society. P5 and GC have strong artwork and visuals that have worth the budget despite suffering certain story flaws. The soundtrack is worth listening to with music greats and voice acting is well done. 

There is a lot of mythological and biblical references in both shows that deal teenagers against powerful entities in an episodic format and has issues that deal with dark aspects of adults. 

Both have jazzy soundtracks and stories that deal with ragtag group of misfits who have different goals and dark pasts that haunt them in a stylish manner. One of the P5's cast Futaba has in common with Edward as a shout out. 

The MCs of their respective stories are individuals who moved into their new places that will turn into a battlefield dealing with supernatural powers that will involve the lives of the unjust and the innocent and that fate is not something to toy with but can possibly be changed. Darker moments catch up to the characters fast who are haunted by their pasts but must learn to deal with it and change their personalities to overcome it with strong companions. 

Pretty identical to Persona 4 mainly because protagonists meets other characters and they enter this other world that has evil in it leading them to defeat them and causing changes in the real world. 

both are about a group of high school students that fight against evildoers by summoning their Persona/Stand that all have their own unique special powers. 

Both are cult following and critically acclaimed video games that portray and epic adventure with strong written parties and villains with nice touching concepts with a well executed plot, soundtrack, and art. 

Both feature an outcast mc,friendship,summoning monsters and stopping the bad guys and the bad guys facing harsh punishments. 

Both focus on punishing evil people,has lots of dark visuals and suspense in it and also nice art and character designs and psychological shit in it too.  

(alright for the record if i compare the Persona 5 animation i also at the same time mean to compare the game but video games ain't in the myanimelist so this will have to do) both Gantz and Persona 5 have the concept of a troubled teen along with some random acquaintances get teleported in some astral projection type method Gantz through death and after that, the Gantz ball's decision...Persona 5 through cell phone app and they also meet in a designated spot before taking on missions...in the world they get teleported to they have to battle alot of weird beings Gantz aliens and alien monsters...Persona 5 persona shadows. both Gantz and persona 5 are psychological..gantz the situations and scenarios the evil of mankind the twisted things that people do the twisted situations that befall people twisted deaths making up the disturbing context of psychological and Persona 5 getting inside people's heads and visiting mental illustrations of the person and how they view people making up the more lighthearted aspect of psychological..... the difference between p5 and Gantz is Persona 5 is more pleasant and cleaner and fun while Gantz is more explicit and violent and trashy. read more 

(for the record if i compare the persona 5 anime i really mean to compare the main canon source but that's a video game and my anime list dont include video games in their arsenal so this will have to do) with that said.. how mirai nikki compares to the persona 5 story is that the same plot device is used..both the mirai nikki crew and the persona 5 crew use cell phones as part of each of their respective plot detail....the miria nikki cast use theirs for death battles and stalking and the phantom thieves use theirs to teleport ...both mirai nikki and persona 5 have morally grey characters.. anti heros and chaotically good heroes...a girl with some psychological issues of sorts though one is more or less the mascot of her respective show appearing early while the other is more under the radar and appears late in her respective franchise  read more 

Both focus around dark supernatural themes in a modern Japanese setting and have angel like beings in them too and a character who is something of an outsider getting caught up in the crossfire too. 

both are focused on outsider mcs standing up to evil people with supernatural ways and it also focuses on creepy monster designs as well too and also both sharing a school setting as well too. 

They feel similar, I'm not sure why but I would defiantly give both of them a watch. 

If you're watching P5A and are disappointed that it sucks, don't worry. At least the whole story is there! 

Both are supernatural action anime with characters who form an organized group and posses unique abilities as well as unravel mysteries within the plot. In Persona 5, the story is about phantom thiefs while Bungou Stray Dogs has to do with detectives known as “stray dogs”. Additionally, both series have likable characters and kickass battles. 

If you liked this anime you should definitely check out this one they both have a similar vibe and both have something to do with getting justice and solving mysteries related to crimes. 

Both share a modern day Japan setting with Shibuya being one of the settings as well as having a teenaged cast facing against a dangerous life or death situation.  

Both anime involves group of people that try to serve the justice with their own way and targetting the corrupt leader. Both group are also viewed as the "bad guy". They also have enemies which are the detective and police that try to chase and catch them. 

Both are focus around the concept of poetic justice and have occultic elements in it and are focused on taking down bad people that deserve it as well too. 

Both focus on supernatural storytelling, a spooky atmosphere, a young adult cast and also lots of action in it as well too and also supernatural creature summoning included.  

Both have a fighting evil by moonlight dual identitiy stories against supernatural threats with a ya cast. 

Both series have similar atmosphere - there's also a group of young people with special abilities trying to change the world (kinda lol) and a detective, who helps them, has a lot in common with those people, too. The main protagonist seems to be very inteligent as well. 

Batman and the Phantom Thieves do not tolerate killing and will bring criminals to justice that is better served according to their own standards. 

Ren and Casshern must overturn Ruin through various obstacles in their paths and are OP guided with strong individuals but must go under hardships and character development. 

Both revolve around the seven deadly sins as humanity's enemies and must fight against it to attain true freedom. 

The Phantom Thieves are like the Celestial Being but with a mild immorality that still performs acts that most victims or people find it questionable and must by justified as righteous. The MCs are similar in terms of personality and goal to change the world as well as their companions and powers. 

The Protagonists in both shows are stoic individuals who rarely speak and must deal with the oppression in the society that they live in but at the same time their true faces show that they change it through immoral acts that they must justify with their powerful companions who share that common goal. 

P5 and DN are identical in terms of MC (Ren and Light) with the power to change the world who at first starts out as students with a boring life only to have it changed forever. The MC would later face obstacles that would obstruct their goals from reaching full fruition while at the same time dealing with the consequences and morals of their powers that are questionable and righteous at the same time. Both want to reform society that is corrupted due to their passion and are opposed by certain detectives (Akechi and L) The art style in both shows are dark and edgy in a stylish manner composed with a well respected soundtracks. Not to mention Ryuji Sakamoto and Light Yagami have the same Seiyuu Mamoru Miyano making them have similar and different aspects. Akechi as another Death Note Reference Resembles Light but has a role identical to L. read more 

Both are adaptations that are highly regarded in their respective franchises and have yet to be dubbed later in the future. 

The shows heavily revolves around a resistance group that puts great effort and dedication to their cause into freeing society from an oppressive grip. Ren and Quattro are mentor figures who help their young allies into dealing with their troubles and are powerful fighters who have their pasts to deal with. 

The MCs in both shows are stoic individuals who fights to go back to the place he calls home as well as cleaning away his tarnished name while facing scorn and hatred for their certain reputation. They later form strong bonds with the main cast later on to overcome harsh trials but must face the dark past that may be beyond something than just mere comprehension. The soundtrack in both shows are identical in terms of the jazz theme and the same applies to the artwork. Nonetheless both are worth watching if you like one or the other. 

VRAINS and P5 deal with incidents that involve innocents and the MCs in both of their shows must exploit and bring them to justice but at the same time suffer their troubled past. 

TB and P5 are similar in terms of artstyle and the tone that involves a certain supernatural user who wants quells evil with their gifted powers and serves as a selfless individual who provides kindness and generosity to the needs of helpless and oppressed individuals who cannot fight back evil. Seriousness looms as the series progresses. 

Both series focus on the importance of bonds and defeating the evil in peoples' psyche. A good portion of both series take place in an alternate world. Sarazanmai is a bit on the wackier side, but many of the core messages and themes of these series are the same.  

Ren and Tatsuya are students who receive scorn due to their infamous reputation but at the same time hides their true identity that others are unaware of and are OP with powers that surpass their respective peers and enemies' expectations. Contrary, P5 is supernatural as opposed to Mahouka's Sci Fi/Magic making both shows distinguishable if slightly similar in some aspects.  

I cannot help but compare P5 to K in terms of story, artwork, music, and aesthetics that refine to each audiences' taste. Both refer to real life Japan with various cities that serve as a battleground with various groups and individuals. Not to mention both have a talking cat and amnesiac MC who is trying to uncover the past that serves the key to prove their innocence while a greater evil is lurking trying to ruin other's lives for their selfish gain. 

Both are animated series based off a game. Similar to the cast in Persona, the characters in Grimms Notes are able to take on a persona that aids them in battle. The difference being the cast in Grimms Notes takes on the appearance and utilizes the abilities of fairy tale heroes and heroines to aid them iin battle; while the cast in Persona, have an entity that fights alongside them in battle. The main characters in both series are "wild cards" in that they can take on multiple and any persona while their friends are limited to one or a select few entities.  

Despite having a lot of differences, the concept of Persona 5 and Great Pretender is pretty similar. Both are about a group that targeting famous people who did bad things, and they make sure those people will pay for what they have done. 

Persona 5 and Fairy Ranmaru share that they're about group of characters making changes to the real world by changing antagonists' hearts to make the lives of the victims less awful. Before changing an antagonist's heart, they first have to fight corrupted versions of their enemy. The groups also give out a card before doing anything and their headquarters are a bar-like environment.
