Interest StacksAnime with great worldbuilding, or the development of the fantastical environment and world! None of these anime take place in what you would call 'our universe', rather taking place in an alternative universe or fantasy/ sci-fi setting with amazingly well-tailored and fitting details in technologies and architecture that makes every world unique. Every animated media that has been made has the idea to tell a story and to express a feeling on the watcher. But then, there are some series which has a particular way to evocate their sentiments and they use different tools to do that. Thought provoking writing, displaying the characters' internal monologues, their struggles and fears, using particular cinematographic angles and by blending contrasting styles of animation, coloring and highly symbolical and metaphorical imagery - these are some of the many hallmarks signifying the said animation has psychological themes, and that it is avant-garde in it's approach. This method of expression is not limited to any genre, as well. These are the anime that I think have the best English dubs I've heard. Many of them I would vouch for over the sub. Mystery is my favorite genre, so trust me when I say I know what I'm talking about... kinda... Anime with men who have all of the following traits: A̷̜̖̞͉͛̚r̷̨̺̳̀͒͝e̶̢͛͐̈́͝ ̴̥́̃͐́y̷̥͕̎ō̸̤̠̝̝̈́͊̈u̵͔͌͑̕ ̵̡̎̏ṋ̷̟̖̺͘o̶̧͗̒t̶̳̹̐ ̸͚͇̄l̸̘̞͕̼̑́͛i̷̧̱͎͖̔̑̎ḳ̷̹͈̍ẻ̴̯̔ ̸̱̐́͌̄o̵̻͒͂ţ̶̍̋h̶̨͎͐̌ͅe̵͓̤̞͌́̎r̴̛͔̜͔̞͌̾̇ ̴̠͙͚͋̒̾̋g̸̢̧̾͜i̴͉͑̃r̸̢̙͗̈́̚l̵̲͕̠̿̉s̸̛̳͛̒ ̷̬̼̟̈́͆͗̈?̷̫̿̋̓ To qualify for the list, the manga had to be at least 15 years old when the anime came out. Organized in ascending order by length of time between manga and anime. Each manga can only be accounted for once, so no remakes - those go on a separate list. 100% purity here! Not a single bit of nonsense relating to sex! Mystery anime that center around a series of deaths, assaults, or disappearances that are somehow connected. Possibly feature: serial killers, organized crime, supernatural elements, etc. "Atmosphere is defined as the pervading mood of a person, place, or work of art. The mastery of atmosphere in movies controls how a person feels while watching a movie, whether it be a creeping dread pulling down on the viewer or an exhilarating energy that makes the viewer feel like they can fly." //List of shows that (to my knowledge) have an italian dub A fictional world which feels alive and its circumstances are properly explained. Details about the citizens, the cities, the food, the monsters. Everything has a background and a meaning in its existence. The 'rules' and regulations and even the social status of the world are thoroughly explained. A world where you can immerse yourself in. Here the Best anime means that the anime is not commercial failure for the studio and are liked by most of the anime fans, so all the anime in this list are loved by majority of fans, not a personal biased and I've written honorable mention in text if I think there is more than one(best anime) anime by the same studio. Anime that doesn't have many sexualized scenes to boost its popularity with horny basement dwellers. In the dawn of the digital age, many creators have expressed their hopes and fears about technology and its influence on human society through science fiction anime, creating many interesting interepretations of what our future could be (or even what our present is) with regards to the ever accelerating integration of technology into our lives. |
