New Interest Stack
Interest StacksStuff that is either obscure/unpopular, janky, wildly inconsistent or noticeably cheap (pick any combination), but somehow makes things work and be good anyway (typically against the odds). Characterized by having a MAL average under 7. favorite rainbow/colorful animes!! If the characters or overall color palette of the anime is colorful it'll go here no matter the genre!! List of Original Anime Series' (not including sequels/specials/movies) Anime that are not pet-centered shows, but have a cute cat mascot. These kitties are usually the main character's pet or magical familiar. Bygone days spent as an otaku, often captured in OVA format, have been lost as trends shifted. It’s undeniably melancholic to see the evolving portrayal of otaku in a meta-sense and slowly watching the dwindling importance of Akiba-kei. You won't need to read the manga/novel or wait for a second season. This is a weird concept for a list, but I think it's worth putting it out there. These are anime which I consider help understand anime better because of their referential humour, commentary on otaku culture (whether it's anime or gaming), exploration of the industry and twisting of classic tropes in self-aware ways that put them in perspective. Also included a couple shows which are not necessarily meta or referential, but they are here for being aggresively "anime" in nature, if that makes sense. With how over the top they are and/or how stereotypically otaku their concepts are, I think they give a good idea of how anime has developed. In this list, I tried to collect as many shows as possible that are dedicated to the deconstruction of certain genres, plot themes or various characters. Therefore, there are both tragedies like Madoka and Eva, and parodies like KonoSuba or Kaguya. I think the tittle is pretty self-explanatory. So i started watching Darwin's game and it's pretty good. I like this type of animes though but it is not that popular so i didn't have any kind of good expectations from it. But it was amazing to say the least. The story is unique and the segeal concept and it is one of the best animes which focuses on gaming world. Derived from AniFem's seasonal recommendations from 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 that weren't among their yearly top picks. As the title says, I created a stack called "Avant Garde and the Weirdest Box", and some weird Anime was not listed in it, so they will be listed here. Of course, there will also be Avant Garde anime that are not popular or not known by many people. No Harem or Love Polygons/Triangles. Hi, hello, and welcome! This is mostly a personal list, but I decided to make it public - after all, finding serotonin boosters can be difficult, specially if usual recommendations don't work for you. All of the stuff here makes me happy (some more than others, of course), and a lot have been watched more than once, more than twice, etc. This stack is for forgotten or obscure original anime that somehow fit the following criteria: All of the series in this list have a fairly important amount of slow, relaxing and daily life content, but they do not have the slice of life tag. |
