They're both cat-centric short-episode comedies, with offbeat art and jokes. Sometimes more bizarre than amusing, but strangely appealing and with catchy openings.

Poyopoyo is a lot more focused on cuteness and philosophy (especially ethics and metaphysics) however, while Neko Rahmen is more like a sitcom with social and consumerism satire.
