New Interest Stack
Interest StacksAnime in which a character interacts with a Rubik's-style puzzle cube in some capacity. Anime with less than 150k members (in fact, most of them have less than 100k members) that are well rated and deserve to be watched by many more people. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). Various sports compiled into one list of anime. If there are multiple TV-series with the same sport, be warned I just chose the one with a higher popularity. However, there are most definitely other sports anime you should check out such as Slam Dunk, Megalo Box, Ahiru no Sora, Tennis no Ouji-same, All Out!!, Ashita no Joe, Major, Ryman’s Club, Blue Lock, etc. This interest stack contains all of the anime that have been discussed on the iDOL D@YS podcast. (go listen to it on Spotify, it's great) An anime whose plot or premise is heavily based on various real-life brands. For example, Shonen Jump in Bakuman or Honda motorcycle in Super Cub. You can also find a guide to real Japanese beer at Takunomi or sweets at Dagashi Kashi. In other words, if you are interested in anime about real Japanese things, then this stack is for you. These are all shows/one-offs I've watched and rated higher than a seven. I've also decided their popularity has to be 1000+ or hated into unpopularity so they stand a higher chance of being new to a larger percentage of MAL users. Anime adaptations of various gacha games, that is, basically mobile games of various genres (mostly musical or associated with moe anthropomorphism), where you play to earn points that can be spent on getting limited attractive characters (or cards with them) in a virtual analogue of a vending machine. Popularly, these anime are also often referred to as waifu or hasubendo bait shows due to the large number of attractive characters that the adaptation advertises to entice you to download the game. Anime with lots of fan art. This includes everything from well-known anime to adaptations of video games to anime popular in Japan to forgotten classics. Data is taken from a certain website with tags as of April 2, 2024. Continuation of my previous interest stack. once this passes 50 entries I'll be splitting it between "until 2009" (a new stack) and "since 2010" (this stack) This stack is dedicated to anime that talk about unusual or downright fantastic schools that prepare characters for either fantastic professions and goals, or to become a super specialist in real-life fields. For example, the Gundam school in The Witch from Mercury or the school of the best chefs in the world in Shokugeki no Souma. |
