-Both series are about a human who interacts with yokai and solves some problems. -Both stories are pretty relaxing with much focus on "life" and its problems.

Both have a human MC who is surrounded by Yokai & ends up being friends with them.

Both are related to the Yokai world althought Nurarihyon no Mago is more serious.

Both stories are about a guy that moves in an inn thats full of supernatural beings/youkai. MCs are trying to co-exist with these beings but when its needed they will fight against them to protect other people close to them or not.

Both have the same unfortunate guy who thinks he got a lucky break, but ends up getting more than what he bargains for, the differences was R+V was more on the ecchi while Youakai Apartment was more on the slice of life.

Both anime have mc who went to youkai/ghost world. And both do training to become a mage.

Both main characters "lose" their parents (but one of them tries to rescue them, since they aren't dead). Both main characters abruptly enter a "world of ghosts". In both stories the protagonist is initially scared and suprised about the existence of the ghosts.

Isekai shokudou has a very calming atmosphere and and the animation is great too! It's similar to Youkai apartment as it revolves around entities from the other world. If you like food, isekai, and slice of life, this is the perfect anime to watch.

Falls into the supernatural category but is focused more on the humor side. Both have some classic jump scares. Both MC stumble into the situation by accident.

Youkai/Mummy around... They show you the possitive side of them.

Both are about relatively normal high school students living in very eccentric school dormitories. Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo doesn't contain a supernatural element though.

Both have to do with magic and with someone leaving their home and making another home somewhere else. The music for both is very calming and they have the same kind of lighthearted atmospheres. Anyone that likes one will definitely enjoy the other.

Both have similar themes with the MC dealing with Yokai although in Demi-chan we only see few of them.

While Hoozuki deals with Yokai in Hell, it's still quite similar in regards to their everyday lives.

Both anime involves a male protagonist moving out to live on his own in a dorm and meeting very interesting people. The most similar aspect of these two anime was the residents that lived in the dorm with the protagonist. The residents all had unique characteristics that messed with the protagonist's sense of normality in his daily life, which is also part of the comedy in both anime.

While reading the synopsis they don't seem similar at all, these two are actually really similar. > Lot of human observation in school life > Problem solving, done by the main character > Friendship While one is lighthearted supernatural and cute, the other is more grim but I can't help but think they're very similar when it comes to school life. Both series involve the main characters trying to cope with unreasonable people while observing and learning how to deal with them.

Similar setting of having a house full of different sets of monsters

Youkai Apartment has a really similar feeling to Kakuriyo, both are chill anime you can kick back and relax to! It's got the same feel good vibe! Both MC's can see and interact with spirits unlike the people around them, both of them also end up living in the same place as the spirits, also food is show cased quite a lot in both anime, though in Kakuriyo more so as it's actually about cooking whereas in Youkai Apartment it doesn't show the actual process of cooking nor the trials involved with it because the food is already prepared but it's still frequently featured!
