新年快乐! Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations of the year among East and Southeast Asian cultures, including Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean communities, among others.

The 12 zodiac animals are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. In addition to the animals, five elements of earth, water, fire, wood and metal are also mapped onto the traditional lunar calendar. Each year is associated with an animal that corresponds to an element.

As Lunar New Year is around the corner, why not watch anime that have characters based on the Chinese Zodiac?

Here is a list of anime that are not the best ones, but can definitively kill some time.



OBS: Some shows are really shitty but can be quite enjoable.

The characters are hiding what they are, even it is whether consciously or not.
Others are just lost and don't know themselves

PS: not all characters who are hiding under masks are necessarily the protagonists, they can
have secondary or tertiary characters with weight in the story

Anime characters are animals. Most of the Main characters must be Animals to consider in the list.

Only one can win, only one can survive, the battle royale, the dark games begin in a fight of all against all.

Whether identical, fraternal, alike or different. Whether main characters, side characters, or only in one episode, all these shows have twins.

If there are two anime in the same franchise on this list, that means there’s a new pair of twins introduced.
