Anime you can only find (or used to only find) on Amazon, I'm going to add anime you could technically watch on HIDIVE (because Sentai has the licenses, they get to share some series). Note that I'm not adding shows which could be considered "old" because they weren't released as amazon-only initially, so no Gamba or Takarajima. Also no 'Ishida to Asakura', you can't fool us with that 2021 date Amazon, it came out in 2013. Not adding shows which are on other streaming platforms in the West (If I were to consider them I'd add a note), so no Asia streams or programming in other regions. Of course, if I get something wrong put it in the comments, this is to keep track of anime on Amazon but don't expect this to be the most "official" list because of expected region differences. Note also that some can be found on Funimation but due to Crunchyroll's merge I'm still unsure about adding them, I mostly get the streaming info from LiveChart although I've noticed it also misses some streams like 'Unbreakable Machine Doll' or the new 'Initial D Legend' movies which are available with Prime. As a side note, Amazon owns the right to many sequels but either has the original on Prime (But I consider other streaming platforms so no 'Psycho-Pass 1') or under a paywall.

Edit 2023: Because of the many licenses gone to HIDIVE this list is trying to compile what were Amazon Originals, I'm slowly working my way to knowing exactly which series fit these criteria, such as Vinland Saga which started as an Amazon original but then went on to be in Crunchyroll and Netflix, if a series is in the two of the biggest anime streaming platform Funimation and Crunchyroll (although they're basically the same now they still work as different platforms) they're not admitted here however if on one of the two then it's fine, why? because at that point being an alternative platform doesn't cut it when a series is on two of the more popular anime streaming services.

We always love juicy content, and here are some anime with some heart throbbing kisses. Moreover, these are all series that happens by one season, so if you don't like waiting, this list is for you.

Anime for a common audience that includes representation of marginalized communities without being narrowly focused queer or quuerbaiting content. The purpose of the list is to try and neutrally compile a list of shows with a diverse cast that isn't subject to the heavy fascination with ships and other wishful thinking. Therefore, you will not see any "heavily hinted" and other typical speculation for such stocks here.

Warning, for some of the included shows, this topic, as well as its image, may be a spoiler. Also, English is not my native language, so if my vocabulary in describing a particular topic may sound problematic, feel free to let me know. I will correct the text as soon as possible.

This is a tentative list of anime with romance or romantic subtext that made my cold black heart palpitate.

I have included only the first seasons of shows and stand-alone movies.

It goes without saying that each of these anime is meant to be entertaining. Not all love interests are kind to the protagonists, so do not base your real-life relationship choices on the ones shown here.

Marriages/matchmaking done other than for love

shows that aren't parodies yet still can't really exist in the realm of being taken seriously due to whatever tonal/plot elements that make you go "fkng what???? lmao"

usually this makes them either really funny or really good. or both. or sometimes neither. always confused to some extent tho.

series that seem innocuous enough but become pretty wack by the end

This interest stack is filled with anime that is both romantic and dramatic. It is meant for watchers who want to see a serious romance unfold among dramatic twists and turns. These titles have very little comedy and stay serious until the very end! This list is non-exhaustive as it only includes titles that I have watched.

Only the first season of a series is listed. All sequels fall under the same category of "romantic dramas."

Hard to find good romance anime which isn't filled with stupid and boring cliches, so here's my attempt to list the best shows, or at least the ones I found entertaining enough to bother watching.
